Pros:

People are friendly and a very laid-back environment. Shark den was really fun as well with live entertainment.

Served its purpose of a clean bed and shower for an overnight airport layover.
Pros:

Staff was helpful and friendly. Room was clean and A/C worked.

Cons:

Road noise, as hotel is near an elevated highway that apparently every motorcycle owner in Greater Honolulu needs to drive under on Saturday nights. Long walk to our room. Facility, at least our wing of it, is in need of a refresh.

Staff not reliable
Pros:

It was close to the airport

Cons:

The major issue that eclipsed all other issues was the attitude of the front desk staff. We arrived at night to check in. And ahead of the trip, we had asked for and gotten approved for a rollaway bed in the hotel room. This was months ahead. When we checked in and I reminded the front desk personnel about the bed, her answer was simply there was no bed. When asked about the discrepancy from my pre trip approval, she proceeded to lie. By saying that that’s not an obligation on the hotel, I have to take it up with Booking.com (that it was Booking.com’s fault). I mentioned the approval for the bed came from the hotel, she then switched tactics and said I would have to take it up with the manager, who will call me shortly.

I eventually asked her what time the manager might be able to call, so I can assess how long we would have to be without a bed, she fessed up ( in a rude manner) that the manager is off duty until 9 AM the next morning. When I politely pointed out to her the irony that the very problem needed to be solved in the evening so we can all sleep, and the problem will be moot by 9 AM the next morning, I was brushed off by her in a very rude manner that is unbecoming of a front desk reception staff in a hotel.

This jarring experience of a rude and lying staff member upon check in poisoned the entire stay. There are plenty of other hotels nearby. We will be taking our business elsewhere next time.

Pros:

No continental free breakfast offered so cannot give a breakfast review. Did like the location to the airport

Cons:

The room had a slight smell upon entering, the worst bed/mattress & pillow ever, AC very loud, ducks in the pool.

We had an exceptionally long layover headed to Japan. We needed a single night.
Pros:

It was close to the airport so it was convenient. They also had a perfect room for my large family even with late notice.

Cons:

The price was a little high. Then they charged a $50 service fee per room and I needed 2 rooms. I got service fee refunded four days later. It was just a little inconvenient since I was traveling further on those days.
