The opening hours for the leisure club are Monday-Friday 6:30 until 22:00 and Saturday-Sunday 07:00 until 20:00.

Pros:

the room was ok breakfast was adequate

Cons:

the bin was not emptied in the room . only one bath towel in the bathroom and a lot if mold around the taps on the bath

Stunning location - yet an average stay
Pros:

Its a beautiful building and the gardens and surrounding areas are incredible.
It was a big room, and it was clean, yet a little tired.

We didnt use the pool or spa facilities so cant judge it.

Cons:

The mattress on the bed was very firm.
Room got stuffy as it only had 2 little windows.

Das Frühstück war okay. Was gänzlich fehlte war zum Beispiel Marmelade und ein wenig mehr Aufschnitt dürfte es auch sein.
Und es gab keine Steckdose im Bad, nur für einen Rasierer

So disappointed in our stay. The hotel was dirty, dated and clearly badly run. When you are being charged over 180 pound
Pros:

Our bedroom was spacious and comfortable. The ensuite bathroom had an excellent shower. The gym was excellent. So too were the swimming pool, Jacuzzi and sauna. The men’s changing room was shabby, however, with doors missing from a lot of the lockers. I’d never come across this before - it was a terrible look.

Cons:

Apart from our bedroom, which was clean, the overall level of cleanliness was very poor. The carpet on the stairs was really filthy and the walls around the hotel were dirty and badly marked. The decor was dated and in poor taste. The hotel bar had absolutely no character and was not worthy of the name. The bar food was really poor. A major red flag, when we arrived, was that it wasn’t obvious where the entrance was. Was it through the pool/spa area? Or maybe around the back? Very strange…

Staff were superb at sorting out and resolving an issue which ensured that we left delighted with our experience.
Pros:

Beautiful building. Very convenient for our visit. Lovely to be able to use spa facilities because we were too early for the room.

Cons:

Menu was very limited.

Was a great place to stay as we were going to a family wedding at Chester Zoo so very convenient to.

Beautiful hotel and reasonably priced but a few negative points. Would return for the price.
Pros:

Beautiful property and lovely staff. Rooms were so big and so reasonably priced. Good pool/spa too.

Cons:

Curtains didn’t shut properly to black out the light
Blood stained pillow in room
Very thin walls - could hear people in the next room at 1am when they turned on the TV

Last minute booking and expensive for the experience overall.
Pros:

Room was large and comfy but it was very hot and the fan provided was very dusty, old and noisy. So it was difficult to have on during the night.

Cons:

The bed was not very comfortable and the pillows were awful.

Nice looking manor house
Pros:

The house and gardens were beautiful and the breakfast was lovely

Cons:

I was in a tiny attic room, the dorma window would not open and the electronic blind would not work, so the daylight woke me up at sunrise, the tap only supplied hot or warm water, so nothing to drink at night, so woke up dried up with a headache 😔
I wish I was told before hand that I had been allocated a tiny attic room.

Beautiful surroundings, and well maintained

Cons:

The layout of the rooms and corridors was strange, kept getting lost. No air conditioning, but there was a fan in the room, no dressing gowns or slippers, but obviously that is a minor detail.
