It was easy to find in fact we have just booked again

This hotel has potential, but there are some fundamental issues that need addressing.
When booking through Booking.com, I selected and paid for a package that included leisure facilities. However, when I tried to use the swimming pool, I was informed that there was an additional charge of £5 per person, per day. For a three-day stay, this amounted to an extra £60. This additional cost was not clearly advertised during the booking process, which was very disappointing.
The rooms were also not serviced daily. We were told by reception, “We don’t provide room service if you’re staying for just a couple of nights.” As a result, we had to request extra towels and toilet rolls ourselves, and even empty our own bins.
When raising these concerns with the front desk, we were met with what felt like a rehearsed response — simply that “it’s hotel policy.” There was little effort to acknowledge or resolve the issue.
Additionally, the room was not properly cleaned on arrival. The floor was still dirty and dusty. The dust around the skirting has not been done in months.
Overall, this was not a good experience, which is disappointing as the hotel does have potential if these core issues were addressed.
Location of event
Everything very noisy, bedroom carpet had not been hoovered in a while, dust build up on all skirtings and behind furniture and side of bed, duvet had loose cotton strands that got wrapped around me in sleep, plug socket made charger extremely hot and a funny noise from it. As people walked down the corridors you could hear everything and sounded like the room was about to collapse. rude on booking but we were at an event there so needed to be local as live 3 hours away but wanted £25 for late check out (only an hour and half) which was a third of the cost of the booking we didnt arrive until 9pm. Resturant was shut and breakfast only served until 9am during the week. Very disappointing and very dirty especially the skirtings and bathroom had hairs everywhere from previois guests - shocking is an understatement.
Not a lot really. It was dirty and the staff was useless
It was dirty, the radiator was hanging off the wall and a cote was not supplied to my baby after promised we would have one. Following on from this. My son and I had both got ear infection and my other son that’s 1 has got conjunctivitis. We believe this is from their swimming pool.
very good welcoming atmosphere and exceptionally friendly staff always very warm and friendly very helpful.. also the hotel is immaculate and very clean always fresh and the smell inside the hotel is beautiful.. very good quality for money
nothing everything was amazing 👏 🙌
The temperature of the room was really low, we asked for a heater
Broken radiator so room was roasting. Deep layer of dust under beds. Shower leaked.
All good really
It was all fine
Hotel and room was grt
Absolute scarse menu and to top it off didn't have half of what was available left bloody starving and disgusted
The staff were very abrupt and at times rude, we went for a drink in the bar at roughly 20:30 only to be told that the bar will be closing after 1 drink. We were unsure of where to go for breakfast so proceeded to reception to ask, after asking we were told that breakfast will likely be closed at 09:00 despite the website stating 10:00. There was a very limited selection of food at the bar, which forced us to find food off site.
