I had a good stay, but not an excellent stay.
Pros:

Overall a good stay. The property was nice, but you can see the wear and tear of the years on it. Bathroom functioned well but can see that it was starting to fall apart.

Cons:

Key cards kept loosing magnetism, so had to keep getting key cards reactivated.

Pros:

The hotel and rooms are always nice and clean. This is the only place I stay when I am in Edmonton.

Not what we expected
Pros:

The staff was excellent. From the desk to the restaurant to the security, everyone was professional and friendly.

Cons:

Unfortunately, this hotel looks like it was once the fanciest place in town. We don't know when this hotel was built, but there doesn't seem to have been any upkeep or improvements since then.
The room smelled like cigars, cigarette burns in the carpets and furniture. The duvet was so ratty that the bed looked like it had lumps and the stuffing was falling out.
None of this was the fault of the staff and in no way do we suggest that.

Worst hotel I’ve been in. Was like the beginning of a horror film
Pros:

It was extremely dirty

Cons:

There was blood and or feces stains on the carpet In the room. It smelled awful in there also

Pros:

Location is perfect for our family get-togethers. Staff is always super friendly, check in and out always goes smoothly

Cons:

Bedding was not clean, the fridge froze all of our food even after we turned the temperature off so our food was ruined. Cleaning was very poorly done. No microwave in our room

Always a pleasure
Pros:

I liked that I was able to book a smoking room. Iliked that the staff let me have extra coffee and cream, and that the whitener was liquid, not powdered. The liquid kind tastes better. Both breakfasts I had there eere good, and I could get my 2nd cup of coffee in a to go cup, for coffee with my after meal.smoke. They sent a repair guy right away when I told them the furnace was blowing luke warm air. He made sure it was working and showed me how to work it. I was toasty warm for my stay.

Cons:

That the room was cold when I first got there. That two of the elevators didn't work for the first day.
