No complaint. This was not my first time at the facility, so my expectations were not diminished.
I have no comments regarding disliking the facility.
I had a very disappointing experience at this hotel.
We checked in around 12:30 a.m. while visiting Edmonton for work. My husband was unwell, so he stayed outside to park the car while I went inside to complete the check-in. We were traveling with our 4-month-old baby, and I expected that someone would assist us with our luggage. However, the receptionist simply told me they didn’t have a bellboy and offered no alternative assistance. As a result, we had to carry all of our luggage ourselves while managing our baby.
The in-room service was equally disappointing. The next morning, I tried calling from the room’s landline several times, but no one answered. I then called from my mobile phone, and a staff member answered. I asked if I could order a cup of black tea, but I was told that I had to come downstairs and pay for it first because they do not deliver “only tea” to guest rooms.
This was very surprising because the hotel had already placed a pre-authorization hold on my credit card during check-in. I expected any room service charges to simply be added to my room bill and paid at checkout, which is standard practice at many hotels.
When I mentioned that the room phone wasn’t working, the staff member casually replied that I should inform the maintenance team. I was surprised that this issue had not already been addressed.
Overall, the customer service was extremely disappointing. Traveling with an unwell husband and a 4-month-old baby is already challenging, and I expected a little more understanding and assistance from the hotel staff. Unfortunately, this was one of the worst hotel service experiences I’ve had, and I will not be staying at this hotel again.
