Power Blackout not their fault, but their response to it could use some work!
Pros:

Room was nice, clean, and met our expectations. Check-in was easy, and the staff at that time was helpful. Parking was adequate, and the facility appeared nice.

Cons:

Shortly after our arrival, the power to the facility failed. My wife went out to speak to one of the staff, who told her this was not an unusual occurance there. We decided to go out and do some sightseeing and get dinner, returning ~ 0700pm. The power was still out, and the only change at that point was the front desk has an earliest estimated time of repair of 0200am. When we inquired about possibily moving to a different Hampton Inn and Suites, the lady at the front desk told us she didn't know if we could do that.I get that her hands were a little tied with the computers being down, but between the idea that this wasn't all that rare of an occurance, and there attitude that spending a Salt Lake City winter night in a room with no heat or lights was ok, was unacceptable. I called Hilton Rewards customer service and they were most helpful and arranged us a room in another Hilton Facility, and compensated us for the difference in room price for the night. Shift change had occured and different person was behind the desk when we down to checkout, and she was MUCH more helpful and understanding, especially considering the impossible situation she had walked into.

Cons:

Power was out and was not expected back on until 3-4 am. They did not have emergency backup lights so hallways were pitch black. They double booked our room so another guest came into our room while we were there. We ended up going to another hotel. Front desk clerk seemed very confused and somewhat unprofessional.

Great hotel poor front desk customer service.
Pros:

The property and hotel were exceptional.

Cons:

The check in experience was extremely bad. I had prepaid my reservation. The check-in clerk however said it doesn’t show paid so she has to collect payment. I showed her 3 different emails showing the receipt for payment. She made no attempt to reach out to someone for assistance until I told her I will go and stay at another hotel. At that point she reached out to her manager and eventually got it sorted out. Poor customer service.

Clean & comfortable
Pros:

The room was very large, the bed was one of the most comfortable hotel beds with great pillows! It was also very quiet & we enjoyed the hot tub in the evening after a long day of travel.

Fine except for noise. We didn't get the rest we sought.
Cons:

The sound leak through the windows on our ground floor room directly faced parking walkway. Loud talking and laughter woke us up several times through the night. In addition heavy footsteps and dragging of something also took place twice while trying to sleep.

Perfect overnight at SLC airport
Pros:

Close to the airport with a dedicated free shuttle. Super clean nice big room. Friendly staff and shuttle driver. Reasonable price.
