Cool at Columbus Double Tree
Pros:

Stayed at this property Jun 9-14 ,2026 Room 102. Room was neat, staff interaction was pleasant and I had no major issues. Special mention to Sondra, Nakirah on the front desk and Melissa in the restaurant. I would stay here again.

Bugs in hotel room
Pros:

My room had dozens of bugs. The next morning I notified the front desk and was assured maintenance and housekeeping would address. Came back that afternoon, no one ever entered my room. The front desk than moved me. I was there 4 nights and housekeeping never cleaned my room. The hotel cuts cost at the expense of customer service. I won’t be back.

Cons:

Unkept, dilapidated, mold for sure (had to change hotels due to reaction to mold) breakfast was really bad and the only thing edible was not replenished.

Font do it the place is a total disappointment
Pros:

There were so many disappointing factors throughout this trip. I'll start with the hallway on the 3rd floor smelled of mildew. They ran a fan for three days due to the mildew smell. Never offered any explaination or apology. Then moving on to the room. The bathroom was filthy, shower was not cleaned and there was clumps of hair in the shower drain and the tile on the tile in the shower looked moldy. The rooms were never serviced our entire stay and when I asked for fresh towels it took over six hours to get them. The room was overall dusty and unkept it really put a damper on the vacation. I dreded going back. Last but not least the elevator inspection tag was 2 years outdated. It's supposed to be conducted annually. Last inspection was in January of 2024. The hotel overall would get a zero It's worn down and unsanitary

The bathroom had rusty fixtures. There were several foreign hairs on the bathroom structures.

The hallway carpet was warped and bumpy.

The restaurant never answered the phone.

Wait till renovations!
Pros:

Hotel is in dire need of renovations. The one plus was the staff and beds were very comfortable. I would not recommend till the hotel is updated.

At my arrival to room, it was not secured, door was ajar, did not think much of it, dropped bags a went out again, learned at return toilet was used and not flushed and trash was present in room.

I had a place to sleep, hardwood throughout the hotel, no carpet. Staff at front desk were friendly and wanted to help the best they could.

Cons:

The lack of response with maintenance issues was concerning, crumbs on floor, damp sheets due to condensation from AC unit, toilet never flush properly even though I put in a work order. TV when I arrived never worked until I fixed it myself even after requesting work order. Hallways and gym was hot and humid and smelled bad

Doubletree Letdown

close to base

Cons:

stayed 3 nights, never emptied trash, never made up bed, wet towel laid on bathroom floor 3 days. housekeeping lounge door left open 1st floor, food all over it, wreaked of onions, half the time some sitting around on their phones. got granddaughter & husband another room & had black mold bathroom & on bed. they would only refund her 1 of 3 nights, I got none. left there to Holiday Inn Express, much nicer, cleaner, and furnished a breakfast for cheaper rate. Have to go back down in month, will be back at HIE for sure. certainly not Doubletree. VERY DISAPPOINTED as a club member.
