This is a beautiful location, family owned and operated! The rooms and grounds are impeccable and the staff takes amazing care of everyone. The breakfast is generous and the views are breathtaking. The sea bus is just across the street and offers a fun way to get into Mykonos town. The property is at the top of a steep hill but with a few breaks to admire the view, anyone can make it up. The hill also guarantees a quiet night sleep! Definitely somewhere I would return to! They made our stay magical!
This hotel is AMAZING. The views from the rooms out to the sea port are incredible during the day and night. The entire hotel staff were attentive, the rooms and amenities were spotless. They really did go the extra mile in all service aspects. The location is perfect as it is walking distance to the sea boats (to go into town). I can not say enough great things about this property and the family that runs it. Check them out.
Rhenia Hotel is truly special—a family-owned gem that has been run for generations. The people here are some of the kindest I’ve met in Mykonos, making the stay feel incredibly welcoming. The rooms are spotless, and breakfast is delicious with a great variety of options. Its location is perfect, just a short walk from the ferry, ideal if you’re planning to explore other islands. Highly recommend! I promise you won’t regret it!
Love Merve ✨
My family and I took our first trip out of the USA and spent a week in Mykonos at the Rhenia Hotel. Honestly, it was the BEST experience and a great introduction into international travel. We felt so comfortable as soon as we arrived, and honestly it felt like home away from home.
There is a bit of a hill to walk up to the hotel so just be aware if you aren’t renting a car or means of transportation. A couple days before our arrival, Rhenia recommended an airport transportation service (Royal Luxury Transport Mykonos, also an incredible service!) so that made it easier to travel to the hotel with luggage.
When we were checking in, Alexandra was the first to greet us, and she was so welcoming! Even gave us some pointers about the island, things to do, places to visit, etc. We met some other incredible people at the hotel, and everyone was so accommodating. The views from our room were beautiful. The room was clean and there was a daily maid service so we always had clean towels, beds made, etc.
The hotel is in Tourlos and on a hill overlooking the new port. It was a quick walk down the hill to the ferry that could take you to and from Mykonos town (old port). Honestly, if you are looking to stay outside of the busy part of the island, it’s a great place to stay.
There are a couple of wonderful restaurants just down the hill from the hotel (Mathios and Molaraki) Awesome food and service! There’s also a car rental service at the bottom of the hill, which we did utilize during our stay and had a great experience. A small market is a quick walk from the car rental service, if you need drinks, snacks, etc.
There’s a small beach area just down the hill and near the port, also a pretty family oriented, quiet beach (agios stefanos , i believe) maybe 20 minutes walk from the hotel. Honestly we had everything we needed during our stay, and it was so easy to experience the rest of the island with Rhenia hotel as our home base.
We were so sad to leave at the end of our stay, but we will definitely go back to visit Rhenia again!
Good customer service . Near to the port .
Amazing service the pool was nice to cool down in after a hot day and the breakfast was good. The view was amazing from our balcony
Please book this beautiful place in Mykonos! I was so happy to have found Rhenia :-) it’s in a quieter part with stunning views of the sea / Port. Beautiful gardens, friendly staff; lovely breakfast. The rooms are very clean and the balcony is truly wonderful. I got a moped and travelled around Mykonos the family were very helpful and reccomend some beautiful beaches! There is also a lovely local beach to the hotel and it’s near to the town / Little Venice (10 min moped / car) and a sea bus right outside.
If you’re looking to explore Mykonos but want something more cultural, peaceful and stunning views. This is the place. Thank you for sharing this beautiful place with us.
Awesome location, picturesque views and great rooms. The family operators were charming and very helpful. The grounds were beautiful and well maintained. Our 3-day stay was memorable, and I can't wait to return.
The hotel is family run by really nice people! The view is beautiful!! Easy access to the water taxi to get to town and beaches. Cozy rooms. Nice pool with a bar. Breakfast included Quiet and nice little patio at our door. Would definitely stay there again!!
Beautiful property and nice setting on a hill overlooking the harbour. The staff was very friendly and accommodating.
This is a beautiful hidden gem. A small and friendly hotel with stunning views lovely genuine owners who are so friendly and helpful. Perfect location away from the hustle and bustle of town which can get busy when the cruise ships come in, but with such easy access over to Mykonos on the sea buses, only €2 each way and go every half an hour up until 6pm then on the hour until 11 pm at night, we loved these and went on them daily either in the day to wander around the amazing streets, stopping at cafes, Little Venice is gorgeous as are the Windmills,or later in the evening to eat they only take about 20 minute, it was a special part to the holiday .It is a 5 minutes walk down a steep hill from the hotel to the harbour and port where you will also find some great restaurants and a couple of small supermarkets. You can also walk left up a hill and down to a beautiful beach, you can rent thick padded sun beds with an umbrella and table for €20 a day.
Our room was spotlessly clean with a huge king size bed which was extremely comfortable we slept so well. There is every think you need in the bedrooms, Air-conditioning, television, USB sockets, kettle, fridge, hairdryer, slippers, towels, toiletries.
There is a nice swimming pool with ample sunbeds and towels provided. A bar area which you can also get pizza and toasted sandwiches at lunchtime if you don’t want to go out.
Breakfast was absolutely delicious with Greek yoghurt, feta cheese, tomatoes ,olives, spanakopitakia, tiropitakia ( savoury Greek Triangle filled pastries) dried fruits, fresh fruit, bacon sausage egg, cereal, walnuts, cheese, ham, croissants and sweet pastries, coffee, juices everything was delicious.
We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend. Thank you for an amazing time <><
Great location, lovely view of port. Easy to get to city via sea bus. Hosts were friendly and accommodating. Would stay there again.
stayed here on a tour .. it was just wonderful..come and homey .. everyone so friendly .. rooms well kept neat and clean .. relaxing especially liked our view and getting to sit on porch reading !! breakfast was perfect .. enough choices for anyone ..
Fantastic views from every room. Steep hill to get to the hotel (everything on Mykonos is uphill). Very friendly and helpful hosts. We loved our stay.
Close to the port, walking distance to a beach
Family-owned, quaint, and amazing!!! Overlooking the eatery of the Aegean Sea. There are no bad views!!! Staff and service were amazing. We will definitely be back!!!
An amazing experience. I will definitely stay again
Excellent hosts and the location near port comes in handy for sea bus to town and ferries to other islands!
Good
A delightful family run Hotel away from all the noise of the Centre but within easy access to everything. At the bottom of the hill is the harbour with the sea bus that goes every half an hour to and from the old port for 2 euros. There is also a fabulous restaurant, Mathios Tavern, down the road which has amazing traditional food and lovely staff.
The staff at the Rhenia are very friendly and helpful and provide lots of touristy suggestions.
Animal lovers will enjoy staying here as the family has a couple of dogs. cats and even tortoises at the hotel.
The rooms were clean, comfortable and had a wonderful view of the bay that you could enjoy from a spacious balcony.
The buffet breakfast had an excellent selection of hot and cold choices and was delicious.
My only complaint would be that guests and also family members were frequently sitting in the eating area smoking. It does seem to be the norm in Greece that everybody smokes everywhere but as a non-smoker, finding ashtrays on your table and people smoking around you, is not pleasant.
I would, however, still highly recommend this hotel.
