Be aware of scams
Pros:

The hotel is correctly priced for what it offers.

It's a cheap place to stay, although not near the city center. I want to Cajamarca by car so I don't know how easy it is to get around.

Breakfast was basic.

Cons:

The receptionist tried to scam me.

I reserved a room with a double bed. When I got to the hotel, as we were 2 persons the receptionist kept on repeating to me that I reserved a room with a one double bed, which felt a bit strange. Anyway I confirmed that that is correct.

Well Surprise - We received a room with 2 beds - one double bed and one single bed.

The next day the receptionist started to ask extra payment because she said that we used the second bed in our room. We were never told that we are not supposed to use the second bed and we also did not use it.

After a somewhat tense discussion (in Spanish ofc) the receptionist backed down.

This seemed like a scam to me. Why would you give me a room with an extra bed, not tell me that I am not supposed to use the extra bed, and then ask for extra money ?? This is Shameful.

Pros:

Todo está como nuevo y muy limpio. El personal nos atendió muy bien, muy servicial y dandonos recomendaciones, además de que nos permitieron hacer el check-in varias horas antes de lo estipulado.
