Subpar Experience
Pros:

We decided to do a staycation at the Virgin Hotel in Dallas. I've stayed there before for a girls weekend, which was a great experience. This time around, it was subpar. From the mediocre welcome at the front desk, to the dusty room, and the glitchy TV, I'm not sure it was worth the money. We didn't even get our preferred snacks upon arrival (WTH: why even ask me about it in my profile?!?!) After reporting the glitchy TV situation to the front desk, they sent an engineer to fix the problem. He was very kind and he did his best to fix it, but it still wasn't working after multiple attempts. Upon checkout, we shared our experience and the front desk representative apologized and sent us on our merry way. The best part about our stay was the amazing city view and the rainfall shower. I'm big on reviews before I purchase anything, so I felt it was necessary to leave a honest review.

Pros:

Rooms were beyond comfortable and clean. Bed was phenomenal to sleep on. Food was also so delicious!! Staff was great! Already booked my stay in New Orleans Virgin hotel because of this stay!

Flashy stylish hotel, and luxury priced - but beware of maintenance issues if you look below the surface
Pros:

This is an expensive hotel located in an area that doesn't have a lot of services. Expectations should be high given that the prices are in the luxury range. The shower was an extreme disappointment as was the sink. The sink had a major crack in it and looked dilapidated, and the shower head was "bespoke" but clearly had been damaged for a while and not maintained, with chipped paint and a head which would not move up and down if stay in place, as well as had a faulty mechanism for controlling temperature, so the shower both aimed incorrectly at one's midriff as well as could not be controlled in terms of scalding heat. I found it very disappointing given the high cost of the hotel and general luxury image otherwise. I brought this concern up to the front desk and was given an apology and no further effort was made to resolve the issue. Also, all guests are issued a gift certificate card for the restaurant, but which only works for dinner in the evenings and is impossible to use for lunch or breakfast, which I found to be needlessly cheap and frustrating.

Amazing Breakfast service!
Pros:

Our server Troy was amazing. While he was not supposed to be our waiter, he turned out when the restaurant was short staffed. He was attentive to our orders and the food came out quick! Over all our stay and service was wonderful!
