The Guangzhou Rosewood is not suitable for foreign guests. They pretend to be as Hong Kong Rosewood, but their service standard is a low local Chinese hotel level.
For example they were not able to provide towels 4 days during the same stay, even after addressing the problem every day. Management has not taken any steps to solve the problem. Also the restaurants such as Black Iron, have a very low service standard - menu as also not been adjusted for years - even as a hotel guest, booked through their own concierge service, you are treated in a suspicious way, that they don't want to charge to the room. Also booking reservations in restaurants is an obstacle, since concierge service is unable to execute the job professionally. Guangzhou Rosewood is most likely the Rosewood hotel with the lowest service level overall. Rather book Ritz Carlton or Four seasons nearby. Worse than the high amount of mistakes by the untrained staff, is the disrespectful behavior of the management. Even after several mistakes they don't offer anything. This shows the attitude of the Rosewood Hotel group. I will certainly not stay in a Rosewood hotel again. There are much better options regarding service standard, not to talk about value for money. It's a pity how this group has developed in a very negative way.
The location was near the High speed rail guangzhou dong station. There is also a mall with a entrance in the hotel. The lobby staff always says hello and helps you carry your luggage. The pool is a 25 meter pool with a kids pool on the left and a warm pool which features a shower and a jacuzzi. The kids pool is 35 degrees, the warm pool is 38 degrees and the main pool is 31 degrees. The breakfast features both Chinese and Western cuisine. Although the vegetarian choices are not so great and the different tables are very far apart. The room is quite spacious and features a coffee machine, a
kitchen and cutlery. It also has an oven and a washing machine.
