The rooms are wonderful- comfortable bed, great lighting and amazing bathroom with walk in shower. As other reviews have mentioned my one critique is lack of food options. Yes, the Marriott is right next door with options but it would be nice have a coffee shop that was open seven days a week on site. In the winter staying at a place as nice as the Blackstone but NOT having a way to get a decent latte without going into the cold is not cool. The coffee shop at the hotel is closed on Sundays which seems ridiculous.
Stayed in this historic hotel for 7 nights over Christmas and all in all had a very comfortable stay. This is a 115 years old beautiful grand classic hotel with a rich history, located just across the street from Grant Park. Renovated and fresh and comfortable room in decent size (room 2015). Excellent bed quality. Friendly and professional staff at the front desk. Friendly staff and good coffee in the hotel coffee shop. The only negative was that housekeeping could have been much better. Our room was not vakuum cleaned for the first 6 days, it was first done on day 6 after mention it to the front desk. Also, the maid left cleaning items in the room almost every day. Also there was a smaller water leakage from the roof in our bathroom (reported to front desk upon checking out). Still a good stay and would gladly stay here again.
Loved the history
I stayed at The Blackstone Hotel in Chicago and Lucy absolutely made the experience exceptional. She was friendly, attentive, knowledgeable, and genuinely went above and beyond to ensure everything was smooth and enjoyable. Her professionalism mixed with her warm personality made all the difference. The kind of service that truly stands out. The Blackstone is lucky to have her, and I’d gladly stay again knowing Lucy is part of the team.
Everything. It was clean and very beautiful.
Nothing, everything was wonderful.
The staff was amazing and the location couldn’t be anymore perfect

Location was good, rooms were very nice and a great atmosphere. Get the lake view as you will be treated to some great sunrises.
The service was really poor and the food options were awful. No room service, one restaurant and a coffee shop that was very limited. Tried to get lunch at the coffee shop and they were out of their only two lunch offerings. The lounge is one of the worst that I have seen at a Marriott. Felt like I was in a cheap hotel chain catering to families on a budget. No food during afternoon or evening, couldn't even supply ice for the sodas and water. No alcohol available either. Breakfast was some cold pastries and melon. Really poor considering the room prices. Also had to use plastic utensils which was pretty tacky.
Front desk generally had 1 person working and you were put on hold when trying to call anywhere in the hotel. Overall would not recommend.
