Residence Inn by Marriott Scottsdale Salt River

Do not book here. Is not clean, nothing works including the blinds as drapes.
Also the tv hasn’t worked since we got here 4 days ago This has been the entire building. Including the lobby. Stops, goes dark about every 50 seconds. They don’t care. Keep acting like they knew nothing about it. Hear everyone else complaining. They keep making excuses. Their people are coming in, it’s the holiday. Suspect Thai is a continuous problem. Different story from each person at the front desk. Promises promises. No 24 hour coffee.

Go elsewhere. We paid over 200 dollars a night for an 89 dollar hotel.

Just me and spider elf hanging out in my beautiful residence inn suite. This is a great place to stay. I love the full size fridge and all of the kitchen amenities. The property is very beautiful and clean. Can’t wait to return.

nicely remodeled, but the HVAC is so noisy that we had to turn it off. Everythuiung worked well and was clean. The location is good and convenient to old town Scottsdale residents, Bed and shower were comfortable, but water leaked onto the floors from the shower, so it's bound it cause mold problems in a few months.

Wonderful, understanding and accommodating staff especially from Ancilla and Karie for going boy and beyond ensuring an enjoyable stay.

Staff are incredible especially Lindsey. No ask is too much. From shopping suggestions to flower shop recommendations to dining experiences, housekeeping requests, resolving wifi issues & much more, Lindsey always goes the extra mile. If she doesn’t have an immediate answer, she’ll always research & get back asap. I’m always served with a friendly greeting & smile. She makes the front desk rock.

Lindsey at the front desk was top notch! Full of information answered all of my questions and greeted me with kindness after a veeeeerrry long drive to AZ.

My trip to Arizona this year was absolutely amazing. What really made my trip special was spending time at the Residents Inn located at 5351 N Pima Rd in Scottsdale AZ. The first thing I noticed was the cleanliness of the hotel. The second was the staff. Everyone was extremely friendly and professional. I absolutely felt like I was home during my stay. I can't name everyone that I came in contact with, however I would like to name a young lady who told me her name. I believe her name is Ancilla. She made my wife and I feel like we were honored guests the entire time we were there. She was always friendly and professional everyday I saw her.

Ancilla always spoke, she always asked how my day was going and if me or my wife needed anything. Even when we were preparing to check out, Ancilla made sure that my wife received a very nice bag with plenty of goodies to include a very large chocolate chip cookie that I actually ended up eating during our trip home. And it was delicious! I can't say enough good about this young lady because she truly made us feel like we were VIP'S during our entire stay which speaks volumes about her customer service skills. If I had a recommendation to make regarding Ancilla, it would be that she receive a salary increase and a promotion before this year is over. I just happen to be a Titanium Elite Level person/ guest and I totally understand what good customer service is supposed to look like.

I'm also a business owner who provides top notch customer service to my clients which is why I recognize it when I receive it.

Ancilla checked all boxes in that area. I also noticed her working at Courtyard Marriott next door.

She was doing what she does best, providing top notch customer service to all guests that she came into contact with.

I don't know if Ancilla will have the opportunity to read this review or not but I would like hotel management to know how my wife and I feel about Ancilla. Not just as a employee but as a human being. She needs to be recognized and compensated accordingly. When she was hired, you received one of the best, and kindest professionals that could possibly work for the Residents Inn by Marriott.

I'll close this review out by asking that you give her a hug for us along with a salary increase and promotion upon reading this review.

We having a really good experience at this hotel all the staff are amazing from the house keeping to the front desk everyone are very smiling. I had a pleasure to get clean my room by HILDA she is so sweet and clean very well !! I’m very happy with my staying

Residence Inn Salt River has been a wonderful home for us. Our stay began-mid September while our home is being remodeled. All areas of this hotel have been outstanding. Let’s begin, front desk; Lindsey and Kate are a dream team. Both team members have gone out of their way to ensure our comfort was nothing than the best. Lindsey is a huge dog lover and has given our Daisy all the attention she can handle. Everyday she pleasantly greets us in the morning with a big chew bone for our Daisy (70lb Old English Sheepdog). Daisy adores her and is excited when she is at the desk. Thank you Lindsey.
Kate is another star member of the team ensuring our stay is the best. She helped us change rooms to accommodate our extended stay with Daisy. Anything we need they are on top of it. Both ladies are a pleasure at the desk. Professional, kind and willing to go the extra mile to ensure we are happy. Thank you Kate and Lindsey..
Ah, breakfast. The champion of all breakfasts is right here. The food area and kitchen are spotless and very inviting. Another A team is running full steam. Dorinda, Susan, Gina and Marlene have provided us a spectacular variety of breakfast choices everyday. Its wonderful to see fresh fruit, breads, juices, fresh eggs and assorted accompaniments to start our day. I have not seen a food container empty or low, as-they are always ensuring guests receive hot fresh meal. They work nonstop in keeping us full and happy. Thank you Dorinda, Susan, Gina and Marlene for starting our day off smiling and content. Love seeing their friendly happy faces..

Housekeeping, again a fabulous team. Felicia and Fabriana are our usual ladies and let me say they are on top of everything we need. Always thorough, kind and a pleasure to see. Thank you Felicia and Fabiana for seeing our room needs are met daily.
There are others that I am failing to mention but before we leave we will give them the recognition they deserve.

Overall, Residence Inn Marriott Salt River is superior to other hotels we have stayed. Clean, runs like a fine piece of machinery. We were very lucky to have this hotel as an option. It’s our home away from home and they have checked all the boxes. Congratulations on your successes…

I booked a block of rooms here for my colleagues to stay in while in the area. It received great feedback and they're a hard bunch to impress. Juliette and Mikayla were wonderful to work with and ensured my team was well taken care of even while I wasn't on-site.

Clean room and amazing layout. Staff was friendly and I will be definitely be visiting again

They charged me $8/day for parking inspire of my Expedia package saying parking is free. Have tried to work with the hotel but they are of no help. So disappointed!

Awesome place!

I've stayed next door at the Marriott hotel, and when I tried staying there this time the front desk was less than helpful. Anyway and fortunately, another staff member there suggested I stay next door at the Residence Inn and when I'm back in town this will be my new "go to" place to stay. The room was super clean, nice and roomy, great view of the sunset AND had a nice little restaurant on site. I was super impressed with the fact that in the lobby there was a puzzle for folks to stop and try to put a piece in place. I haven't ever seen that and I think more hotels should do this for weary travelers. It is very calming.
