White Swan Hotel

This is the 4 or 5 time that I have stay in your hotel . I have always book the River facing room and was always given a floor on the 14 or 15 . First time eating at your fine restaurant . The Chicken and Char siew was good .

The hotel is excellent on location and services. Tim, the manager of concierge, is very nice and helpful. We left some important belongings in the room after checked out. Concierge staff mailed our belongings to the hotel we stayed in Shanghai. We definitely will stay at White Swan Hotel if we have chance to visit Guangzhou.

All, I have the use to stay there and it’s always my favorite hotel in Guangzhou

A big shout out to Issac, Roy, Sarah, For their kindness and help during our relaxing stay at the White Swan.
The working team from the door man, front desk, porter, cleaning staff, management, restaurant staff, nightclub employees was exceptional and beyond our expectations.
We highly recommend staying at the White Swan, the accommodation is first class, located at the rear of the property lies a treasure of 150 amazing buildings which can be explored, the tree lined streets add to the beauty of the area.
In summary we will make a return visit hopefully soon.

Overall a nice, somewhat old-fashioned but very centrally located hotel. Check-in went smoothly. Perfect for sightseeing and a city trip.

However, there were some shortcomings in the service.
None of the hotel staff could speak English or really help with day tours.
Even more serious, however, is the handling at check-out and the processing of the deposit payment. In all hotels in China, I received my deposit back to my account within a maximum of two days. Now, after more than a week, the credit/refund is still missing — which is a no-go nowadays.
When asking about it, one is treated quite rudely, being told that the problem lies with the bank or the credit card provider, which is simply untrue. Technically, a refund within two days is absolutely possible.
I am still waiting and will likely report this type of business practice.
Therefore, deductions in the rating.

We stayed in a Deluxe King room 2403 with river views which was very spacious 60m2, bed, bath & shower face the river, nice large desk area, TV was good with access to CNN, Wifi was good too as could still access FB, Whatsapp, which are usually not accessible using hotel wifi in China. The hotel lobby was stunning with a huge atrium & waterfall, great for photos. The nearby old European buildings & beautiful trees, landscaping were a delight to stroll around. There was a big Starbucks Reserve nearby decorated in Harry Potter theme. We enjoyed excellent dim sum at the 2F Hongtu Hall and a delicious dinner at Jade Hall. We had not stayed in Guangzhou for 7 years so it was a most memorable return. Thanks to the hotel & staff. We would definitely return sooner next time.

We booked a Club Suite as it was for a special occasion. The room was extremely large and comfortable, with a brilliant bathroom and great views over the river. The staff was very efficient and courteous.

The location of the hotel is wonderful. The river view room is spacious and comfortable. The breakfast is excellent. The gardens of the hotel are beautiful. I feel sorry for not having enough time to appreciate the gardens and swimming pool because of short staying period. Tim, the manager of concierge, is very nice and helpful.

Tug away from the bustling town in Guangzhou, this hotel in Shiaman island provides another side of Guangzhou - quiet, historical and surrounded by the colonial architecture , marvelous experience and the staff service is unbelievable superb, credit to Mr Liang Hao Wen, 梁浩文， very efficient and professional, could not believe a local hotel staff is so much better than those international 5 stars and 6 stars branded hotel
