Great Southern Killarney

Myself and my husband spent two nights in the Great Southern for our wedding anniversary. The staff are the best in the business. The food was tasty and the service impeccable. The hotel decor is beautiful throughout and so cozy! Our bed was very comfortable and the room was stunning! Cocktails are amazing and a seat by the fireside is a must while there. A special shout-out to Brian who went above and beyond to ensure our stay was seamless and took fantastic care of us. It is my second stay there and we will return again. Highly recommend.

Great Southern is considered one of the "small luxury hotels". We stayed at several SLH while on our tour of Ireland. While some SLH hotels were lacking in the L-luxury part of the name, we were extremely impressed that Great Southern had captured how to make their guests feel spoiled while also making them feel at home. I cannot say enough about how much we enjoyed our stay. The bedding was luxurious. The Afternoon Tea was lovely. The staff was phenomenal. We will be returning to Ireland and when we do, we will certainly make Great Southern our first choice in Killarney.

A truly beautiful hotel in the heart of Killarney Town. Staff are friendly, courteous and very customer focused. Lunch was beautiful. Unfortunately due to a prior engagement we did not get to sample dinner but will be back again to do this. Room was exquisite with everything one could need for a comfortable stay. Huge bathroom with fantastic walk in shower and beautiful bath. Breakfast offered a variety of options and it was as good a breakfast as we have had anywhere. Well worth a visit.

We had a gorgeous stay here for friends birthday, check in was lovely with reception going above and beyond to meet all our needs

Room was gorgeous and a lovely birthday treat was left in the room for our friend

The food in the restaurant and bar was exceptional particularly the seafood options which were all amazing

We had facials and massages and while the spa facilities could be improved the staff could not do enough to ensure we were pampered and taken care of including facilitating a late check out after treatments

Breakfast was also lovely and each staff member we met were as nice and welcoming as the next!

Just home after an amazing staff in the Great Southern Killarney.
I have stayed in Killarney many times over the years & I have to say my experience was just fantastic. Travelling with friends, our rooms were tastefully decorated & immaculate - just perfect for our requirements. Every member of staff that we met from arrival to departure were just amazing & a credit to the hotel.
We dined in the restaurant on Friday evening & breakfast both mornings & the service, choice & quality was fantastic, we are still talking about it!
Well done to everyone & we will be back.

Beautiful hotel with the loveliest of staff who made our stay so memorable. Every single member of the team was so professional and kind. My elderly parents travelled with us, staff were so good to them. The lobby area is very relaxing with the most amazing furniture/mirrors/paintings. Beautiful colours of dried flowers on all tables. Bedrooms/restaurant/bar also fabulous. Only couple minutes walk to the town. Looking forward to next trip.

Wonderful hotel! The building is beautiful and right beside the train station but also in the middle of town. The staff were phenomenal during our stay. The lobby and bar are spectacular and the dining room is one of the most stunning rooms in Ireland. The rooms are being renovated currently and the new style is very elegant. The swimming pool is great, especially for those with young children as the kiddy pool is beside the hot tub. Would absolutely recommend.

What an amazing experience at the great southern. We were lucky enough to stay in one of the newly refurbished rooms on the 4th floor. The finish on the bathroom is amazing.

The receptionist Nini couldn’t have done more and even escorted us to our room.

Olives and peanuts as bar snacks were a great touch over a pint of Moretti and a glass of wine.

The food in the restaurant was top notch.

Cannot wait to stay again.

It was Christmas & decorations were stunning. Hotel was warm & rooms were spotless. Staff were so friendly & engaging. Food in bar much better than last time we stayed.

Location was good. A bit pricey. Food was excellent, breakfast was fantastic. Staff very pleasant. Hotel immaculate. Would recommend no problem.
