Cons:

We met Ciara at reception, who was very friendly, but when we rang reception because the coffee machine was not working, she said she would send someone straight away to sort it out, but nobody came to fix it, so we couldn't have a morning coffee either. Very disappointed.

Pros:

Meet 5 star hotel standard. Staffs are extremely friendly and deliver what you need efficiently. Very satisfied with this stay. My kid is also happy with the surprise from the hotel. Really appreciate it.

Cons:

Breakfast is not diversified. Under the 5 star hotel standard.

Beautiful hotel with character, great location
Pros:

We stayed at the Great Southern Hotel for three nights and honestly had a lovely time.

The hotel is absolutely beautiful. It’s not ultra-modern, but that’s what we loved about it. It has a really elegant, luxurious feel with loads of character, and you can tell it’s a very special place. Everywhere was spotless and it just felt really relaxing.

The staff couldn’t have been nicer. Every single person we met was so friendly and helpful, and nothing was too much trouble. They really made us feel welcome.

The food was gorgeous, especially the breakfast. It was honestly one of the nicest hotel breakfasts we’ve had, with loads of choice and everything tasted really fresh.

The location is brilliant too. You’re right in the middle of Killarney so you can walk everywhere, but once you’re back in the hotel it feels peaceful.

The pool was nice and perfect for a swim, although it’s just a standard hotel pool rather than anything fancy. That didn’t bother us though because everything else about the hotel more than made up for it.

It is an expensive hotel, but for us it was worth it. Between the beautiful building, amazing staff, lovely food and great location, we really enjoyed our stay and would definitely go back.

Excellent location, lovely hotel.
Pros:

Fantastic location in the heart of Killarney, plenty parking. Breakfast is excellent with an incredible selection and plenty Gluten free options. Friendly staff.

Great place, great location, great staff.
Pros:

Great Southern Hotel was in a perfect location. Close to the downtown area but far enough away to have a quiet walk through their outside grounds. Great Bars and restaurants onsite. Staff could not have been friendlier. Very helpful with ideas for the day, directions and assistance to and from the rooms.
