Aethria Hotel

It was the third time I've stayed at this hotel, I love the location, the hotel and the staff. Natalia and Betty on reception were both so lovely and helpful and I would definitely recommend staying here. Thank you!

Otelin sakinliği sessizliği, hem şehir merkezinde çarşıya bu kadar yakın olup hem de kocaman bahçesinin olması çok güzeldi. Odamız her gün temizlendi temizliği çok iyiydi. Sadece bir Türk olarak kahvaltısı yetersiz geldi bana. Bizdeki kahvaltılarla kıyaslayınca öyle gelmiş de olabilir. Otel çalışanları da güleryüzlü ilgiliydiler. Tavsiye ederim.

Belle résidence confortable et spacieuse à proximité du port de Limenas pour ceux qui n'ont pas de voiture. Le personnel est accueillant et disponible à l'écoute du client. L'hôtel bien situé proche des commerces est assez calme. Il y a beaucoup de familles avec enfants. Nous avons passé un excellent séjour

Otel personelinin güleryüzlü ve çözüm odaklı yaklaşımı çok takdire değer. Odalar gayet kullanışlı, yatak rahat, çarşaf ve havlular tertemiz. Açık büfe kahvaltı oldukça zengin ve lezzetli.

We could not fault this hotel, loved every minute!
Spotlessly clean, comfy bed, great shower and air conditioning and super little fridge. Amazing view from the balcony, tranquil gardens and fab pool.
All the staff were so friendly and helpful, special mention to Eleni and Natalia on reception, nothing was too much trouble for them.
Breakfast was adequate for our needs.

Stayed at this lovely hotel a couple of times now.
Right in the centre of town. Great location to explore.
Rooms are basic but adequate. Lovely size balcony with most rooms looking out to the grounds and lovely pool area.
Breakfast is again basic but nice none the less.
Lovely pool area and good bar also.
Staff here a super friendly and always had time for a chat or to answer any questions.
Plenty of parking spaces should you hire a care and only 2 min drive to the ferry port.
5 min walk in to town.
We will be back again

Updated Review A must stay in Thasos town
I last stayed here in 2016 and had the best time. There has been a lovely update to the hotel but still in keeping with Thasos. Nothing g is too much trouble for any of the staff - Special thanks to Yiannis at the pool bar - what a total gent!
Very Very clean - cleaned room daily, good reception - 24hours. Well within all the restaurants, shops beach.
I cant rate this hotel highly enough and do not get me started on how amazing the pool area is.

First stayed here in 2017 and finally returned post covid in September. The hotel pool area and the amazing staff are the star attraction here then throw in a decent breakfast, a typically Greek room, decent shower, good sized balcony and a maximum 5 minute walk into town and you’ve got the break you need. Want to explore? Walk or hire a car. Want to chill? Keep the lovely Nicoletta at the pool bar on her toes. Natalia on reception is super friendly and helpful and it was lovely to chat. I’m sorry I didn’t get the night receptionist name but she made us lovely sandwiches for our early departure. Nothing here is too much trouble and I honestly can’t understand why this place doesn’t get more reviews.

This hotel is absolutely lovely. Very clean, everyday housekeeping and lovely staff. Breakfast is very good. Poolside is clean and big. There is nice to have lunch on poolbar, but there is no decent dinner restaurant in hotel. But it doesn’t mattered to us, cause there is just five minutes walk to other city. Location of this hotel is very good! High recommendation for this hotel in Thassos! Also you can play tennis on your stay.

I arrived on Friday 13/09 for 7 nights! Absolutely lovely Boutique Hotel. The Management, Receptionists, Breakfast Staff especially the lovely Nikoleta were wonderful! The breakfast was scrumptious too! Something for everyone from an English Breakfast, Greek spinach and cheese filo pastry pie, feta, Greek yogurt, fresh delicious tomatoes and local olives, Breakfast or a continental, cheese, ham boiled egg, cereal and croissants plus savoury and sweet Greek pastries Breakfast! Juice tea & coffee and water ideal for those of us on medication, great because I normally have to ask. A wonderful experience at a nice Boutique Hotel! Thanks to all the staff for looking after me so well in this lovely clean, friendly hotel X

We have just returned from 2 weeks holiday.
Great location 5 minute walk to the main street and 10 minutes to the beach.
This is a lovely hotel set in beautiful grounds with a good sized pool, all very well maintained.
The breakfast had plenty of choice and bearing in mind they are catering for many different nationalities, they do a great job.
Staff are friendly and helpful.
The rooms are of an adequate size, comfortable beds, good shower, with clean towels every day. A good size balcony with wooden table and chairs.
Whilst we were there we were caught up in the Thomas Cook collapse, never once were we made to feel uncomfortable from the management, given the circumstances. Information on the collapse and updates were posted on the reception desk for us.
I sincerely hope that the hotel does not suffer too much from the collapse and wish them well for the future.
We would certainly return to this hotel.

We have been coming to the Aethria hotel for a few years and we love everything about it.
It is family run and you could not wish for a warmer welcome. The staff are dedicated and hard working. The rooms are spacious and spotless and the breakfast has a great variety of food with specialities of Greece produced every day my the cook.
However I must add this year was exceptional as during our holiday we suffered from the Thomas cook collapse as did the hotel who suffered financially loss too.
The owner was amazing in his reaction as far as we were concerned we were treated as if there was nothing for us to worry about as we were told just carry on with our holiday and enjoy ourselves which we did and if we need any help just to let them know.
We sincerely hope this hotel continues to flourish and send our warmest thanks to the owner and everyone in his team for a wonderful stay.

Hotel was a lovely stay, the cleaners were very friendly and welcoming, they did a great job of the rooms. The blonde lady who works breakfast and on the pool bar was so nice, always chatty and smiling, as for the rest of the staff you were lucky if they acknowledge you. Rooms are on the small side and got very hot, would recommend air con which is €6 per night. Breakfast was ok, nothing to get excited and the poor bar is over priced so we used to nip to the supermarket down the road. Hotel is mainly of Romanian, German, snd Serbian Families, very few English on the whole island. Overall a pleasant stay for the chilled holiday we desired.

We spend two weeks at the lovely Aethria hotel. We stayed at the bungalow room, and for three of us it was not big but we managed it ( lot of luggage..). The room was very clean, good shower and air conditioning, nice balcony. This hotel has good atmosphere, excellent staff and big lovely pool. We enjoyed breakfast, good selection of food. We got helped when we needed doctor to our sons ear problems right away, they are warm and cearing people, want to do their best for every guest. So we recommend this place highly !

Hotel is small,and situated in ugly street,so,when you are coming,you don't have great expectation!
But,once, when you come in, you will find a lot of reasons to bu sotisfied.
Rooms are different, three bed are bigger, two bed are not so spacious. But furniture is clean and looks very well maintened. Terrace is spacious,with sweet wooden sitting set. Floors in room and terrace are new and clean,you can eat from them!
Towels are changig every day, no matter we said it is not necessary. Every day maid-lady made us beds,and decorated them with figures made of piggamas,or thowels. Bathroom has everythig you need, hair dryer,and cozy electric charger which I alwaus needed for my dentaljet!Shower cabin is a pritty small, I thought how big men menage inside?
There is very good and rich breakfast,with quolity food.A lot of cats were outeside, waiting a bite from the gests. Menagment ask guests not to feed them, but byte or twoo is ok!
There is nice garden around hotel, grass and palmtrees, oleanders, in the front,but also kind of bush which separate hotels, and neighbors backjard.
There is also very,very nice pool,very clean area, quiet, well eqiped, bar, calm music, umbrelas,seabeds, palmtrees..
At night, it looks realy powerfull!
In rooms,hotel area,and pool area is exelent wifi.
It looks like no compromise for the menagment, quolity is the same every day, all are kind,but not to familiar..
I was sotissfied, and will absolutely recomande!

My husband and I have been coming to thassos for over ten years and for the last few years have been staying at this hotel. What makes this hotel so special apart from its location beautiful pool and gardens and all the amenities are the staff. It runs like clockwork everyone is obviously happy in their roles from the cleaners, cook who provides an amazing breakfast, and very importantly front of house staff. The owner works very hard to ensure guests are comfortable in the lovely rooms and provides everything you would wish for on a holiday.
There are many sorts of accommodation in thassos town but this hotel stands alone in terms of location, warm of welcome and a very personal service. We are returning in September and in the meantime thank you all for yet another enjoyable stay.

We stayed for one night as we were passing through Thassos Town before a trip around the island. It is close to where the boats arrive & has a great pool, so perfect as a first stop.

A lovely hotel with traditional well equipped rooms. The open areas are large and welcoming like the friendly staff.

Breakfast was of a high quality as were the staff. A solid 3 stars and would stay again.

We have recently returned from a holiday in Thassos, we stayed in a lovely hotel in Thassos town, hotel Aethria sits within a beautiful very large garden with lawns, flowers, pool and tennis court, also a pool bar which was handy for drinks and snacks. Our room was very comfortable with twin beds, TV, balcony and separate shower room with beautiful views of the mountains. The staff were always very helpful, polite and friendly nothing was too much trouble. The breakfast is very good, there is something for everyone (including bacon,sausage and egg) with plenty of pastries, cereals, yogurt and fruit etc , a really good selection. I can honestly say this was the most relaxing holiday I have had for years and I thoroughly recommend Aethria Hotel. So if you are thinking of a holiday in Thassos town try Hotel Aethria - you won’t regret it .

The facilities here are excellent; lovely pool, super breakfast and so close to the town. They also have a great library. The staff are so welcoming and helpful. We followed their advice every time and were never disappointed. Thanks for a lovely time
