Relaxing stay in beautiful surroundings with a great breakfast
Pros:

Superb breakfast and and a relaxing 2 night stay for my wife's 40th birthday. We toured about the local area but found the stay quiet and relaxing. Would definitely recommend for a couple looking a quiet retreat away from the kids.

Pros:

Location, staff and food.

Cons:

Temporary spa facilities were very risky in the wet and windy conditions. Also the open sided corridor from our room meant you were assaulted with rain and wind before you reached reception.

We had a lovely relaxing time in a beautiful location

Pros:

Beautiful views and lovely decor done to a high standard

Cons:

Room temperature (25 degrees in bedroom) despite windows open, radiators off and eventually leaving the door to the room open
Bathroom was even warmer by several degrees

Although decor was great, it didn’t seem to match the season. Decoration was very autumnal

Pros:

The location of the main restaurant was excellent, spoilt to a certain extent by the ongoing building works. The breakfast was good but, because we stayed 4 days, the fruit and yogurt offering could have been more varied.

Cons:

The room servicing wasn’t as good as I expected. The sheets weren’t changed in the 4 days we were there. I don’t know how the restaurant staff decided who would get the prime location seats by the window in the restaurant but it seemed difficult to get such a position.

The location and views were amazing. Staff in the restaurant and bar were exceptionally attentive. Very active in providing suggestions for drinks.

Location of rooms near reception and lights streaming into these rooms from car park did cause some discomfort.
