The Hermitage experience was so great that it is now the bar we hold all of our hotel stays to. From the personal touches, extraordinary employees and superior service every aspect was beyond incredible. Will not stop talking about the hotel itself and how phenomenal the trip was thanks to this incredible hotel and their people! Will not return to Nashville and stay anywhere else!
Great location close to Broadway and museums. Very friendly and helpful staff. Our room felt luxurious. Really well cleaned every day.
Nothing
The location, the beauty, the staff were all just perfection. I would recommend, a wonderful experience all around
De trilling in de kamer
Loved the extreme customer services! Everyone was awesome!
The temp control was a little difficult to figure out , and I couldn’t get the in house phone to work in the room.
My wife and I stayed at the Hermitage last month and had an amazing overall experience. The hotel is perfectly located - an easy 5 minute walk to the main strip. The Hermitage is a historic structure that has been restored to its original splendor and is beautiful, timeless and elegant. You can feel its storied history just by walking through the front lobby.
Our room was beautiful, well sized and extremely comfortable in all respects, expecially the bed. The bathroom was large with a comfortable tub and separate shower. Although there appeared to be construction going on near the hotel, the windows were sufficiently soundproofed that we did not hear any noise.
Most importantly, the personalized attention and friendly demeanor of every person in the hotel, especially Odival the assistant manager, David in the gift shop, the bellhops, and every waiter or waitress who served us in the hotel's outstanding restaurants, was beyond compare. At one point we had a question about a charge on our bill and Odival immediately removed it and comped us for a service for our trouble which was immensely appreciated but not surprising given the level of service that the Hermitage provides across the board.
On our next trip to Nashville, we will definitely come back to stay at the Hermitage.
We visited during the recent snowpocalypse and still had the best time. The hotel is beautiful, the rooms are large and service is excellent. It’s worth the price!
We took a family vacation here over Christmas with our two grown children and their partners. Absolutely everyone was friendly and welcoming. Housekeeping was best I have ever seen in any hotel in the world. We had drinks in their bar which were amazing cocktails. Over Christmas we had Christmas dinner (a buffet) and we went to the Nutcracker Tea. My only complaint was that fro Christmas dinner, out of the whole big table of desserts, the only one that was gluten-free for my celiac husband was macarons. They had plenty of desserts for him at the tea. Great location, beautiful place and super friendly.
The Hermitage Hotel was a complete delight. From the Door Men, to the check-in staff, the lobby bartender and house keeping, they all contributed to the lovely stay that my husband and I had in January. The room was nicely appointed and comfortable. They even give you your own personalize stationary! There is a gym with a variety of equipment and the coffee shop, The Pink Hermit Cafe, is just the cutest and breakfast and coffee we had there was great and a perfect way to start our day. We dinned at Chef Jean-Georges’ restaurant Druse& Darr on our last night and the waiter was so nice and made sure we were well taken care of and the food was as good as it looked and then some. It is a short walk from the hotel to Old Nashville and the surrounding attractions. Even if you don’t stay there, it’s worth a stop in to see the lovely building or have a drink during their happy hour.
The Hermitage epitomized quiet luxury.
Nothing comes to mind
I love Historic Hotels! The Hermitage Hotel is the place to stay in Nashville. The minute you enter the doors, you are overwhelmed with historic beauty of a time gone by. The accommodations were beyond spacious and luxurious. We enjoyed afternoon drinks and a light dinner in the lobby bar. Burger and sushi along with our cocktails were delicious. We were very pleased with our stay and will recommend the Hermitage to all our friends.
Amazing experience overall. The hotel staff were very friendly. The location is perfect for exploring the town. The Jean Georges touches blew me away. I was able to enjoy the caviar toast and crispy rice just like NYC. The bar tenders and evening management were excellent. The breakfast staff were exceptional. They were extremely polite and professional, my eggs were cooked to PERFECTION. Highly recommended.
Beautiful property. Wonderful staff. Very clean.
Nothing.
I love the location and it was so beautiful, especially at Christmas time. The staff was great as well!! Also had complementary champagne when we arrived in our room.
The only thing I wish was more affordable eating options or a breakfast type option or even coffee inside of our room, but they do offer coffee in the lobby that’s free.
Beautiful hotel with exceptional service and food all around. The rooms were nice and tidy, all bathrooms have tubs which is what we wanted. The staff went above and beyond to make our stay special. They made us feel loved and wanted. It was my girlfriend's birthday and the room was prepped with chocolate covered strawberries, champagne, and flowers for her. We will definitely be back at the Hermitage. We really appreciated ojuival, Nabil in druise n darr, Ryan, and many others that I do not remember the names of. The location is great as well as the value. I booked thru amex fine hotels and we got a free room upgrade, late check out and early check in too. 10/10 for the hermitage. We are looking forward to another special stay here during our next trip to Nashville. Thank you Jordan, Francisco, and Dee. Y'all are running a great ship at this hotel. Even the man in the gift shop went above and beyond with things we bought from there. We will be back!!!
This place is incredible. Must stay. Staff was attentive and courteous - especially the door/bell persons. The test of a quality establishment is not whether something goes wrong, but if something goes wrong does the establishment make it right or not, and the hiccup we had was made right.
It’s one of the few classy old style hotels left that hasn’t been completely ruined by some mega hotel corporate overlord that squeezes all of the charm out of the place. Cannot say enough nice to things about it other than, the price for this level of hotel in Nashville is the same as what the motel 6 in Hollywood costs - stay here! You won’t regret it!
My professional background is luxury hospitality and I LOVE to stay in beautiful, well-managed hotels around the world. I expected a nice stay at The Hermitage Hotel, but the quality of everything from the accommodations and service to the public spaces and restaurants, and even the elegant branding was beyond my expectations. From the moment we tried to check in VERY early we were handled by the team with warmth and care. Even though they couldn't accommodate some of our requests we never heard "no" and while this might not matter to everyone, the language every team member used (true "luxury language") was noteworthy and enhanced our experience. The staff made us feel like we were the only guests in the hotel...but we most certainly were not on New Year's Eve with a wedding taking place that evening. It's worth mentioning that events can sometimes detract from the stay of a guest who is not attending the event, but we barely felt any inconvenience (just a little bit of loud music around 12:30am that ended shortly thereafter. The property is meticulously maintained and the interior design is the highest level of classic and traditional which is becoming harder to find in a world of overly modern hotels. Every fabric and gorgeous sofa/chair/rug, etc was fresh and in perfect condition...everywhere. Housekeeping was magnificent with a beautiful turndown service. The tiniest criticism was that they did not replace our shower amenities and we felt awkward asking for more so we had to kind of ration them during our 3-night stay (not the end of the world but one of those little luxuries that felt like it was missing). Our biggest regret was that we did not get to enjoy the wonderful restaurants in the hotel because this was our first visit to Nashville and we wanted to go out and explore. I am a big fan of the NYC restaurants of Jean Georges Vongerichten and really wanted to try Drusie & Darr so that will need to wait for our next visit. But our stay was so enjoyable that we are planning to return, perhaps with friends and/or family, to enjoy it even more on our 2nd visit. We were so sad to leave! HIGHLY recommend.
