We stayed at this hotel for one night and decided to ignore the negative reviews, thinking they might be exaggerated. Unfortunately, they turned out to be completely true.
The hotel is very dirty and there are an incredible number of insects everywhere. We spent the night with flies, mosquitoes and other bugs in the room. The picture above my bed was hanging by what looked like a single loose nail, and I genuinely thought it might fall on me during the night. There was also a broken electrical outlet in the room, which did not inspire any confidence in the overall safety of the property. Many of the decorations are crooked, and even the toilet seat was almost sliding sideways, making it uncomfortable to use. The entrance door was another problem, as the key kept getting stuck in the lock every time we tried to enter the room.
The balcony was also in terrible condition. It is very old, the wooden boards creak loudly with every step, and there are large gaps between them. Walking out there honestly felt unsafe.
The biggest disappointment was the poor maintenance. There is mold in many places, especially in the spa area. Plaster is peeling off the walls, and there is mold in the grout between the floor tiles. Walking barefoot felt unhygienic because everything looked neglected.
The wellness area consists of only one sauna, which operates only on request. Although the staff turned it on for us, it was very old, the wooden benches were creaking, and it did not feel safe at all.
Dinner was another disappointment. The hotel appears to be run by Italians, yet the first thing we were told was that there was no pizza available, even though the menu listed more than nine different pizzas. We both ordered tomato soup, which was described as being served with cream, but it arrived without cream and without even a spoon. For the main course, I had spaghetti Bolognese, which was dry, while my husband ordered chicken with orange cream sauce, vegetables and potatoes.
