Pricey for what you get...room that was just ok smelled like a kitchen. probably won't go back.
Pros:

love where the hotel is. beautiful place.

Cons:

food in the restaurant was mediocre at best. and pricey as hell for what we got. our room smelled like a kitchen. in fact all our clothes and suitcases smelled terrible when we returned home. I had to air everything out. very disappointed.

I would definitely stay at this elegant castle again!
Pros:

The property was absolutely phenomenal. It has this classy, historian look to it. I was in absolute awe. The rooms were very clean and grand. We had dinner at the Stationary which is located inside. Hands down the best dining experience I have ever had.

Cons:

You either have to pay for valet parking or park off a distance, pay, and walk a mile. It was quite cold and rainy. That’s on me though for not just doing valet.

FCS Championship
Pros:

I like the Autograph brand. This hotel did not disappoint. Marriott took an old railroad depot and turned it into one of their signature autograph Hotels. My brother and I stayed here for the FCS championship game in which Montana State University played the Illinois State red birds. This hotel is with an easy walking distance of the Honky Tonks on Broadway. It was also a fairly short distance to Vanderbilt University, where the championship game was played. The building itself was very nice. I must say that the rooms have the tallest ceiling that I have ever been in, I would estimate 25 feet up. The bar was very nice as was the restaurant.

Disappointed
Pros:

So, we stayed at this property once before and loved the hotel. In fact, loved it so much that we planned a return visit for New Year’s Eve. Made my reservation and then it happened. First, I get a voicemail saying that the hotel was hosting a private event and the entire lobby along with restaurants and bars would be closed to hotel guests! This notification was exactly one week prior to our arrival! This is a dealbreaker. But, given it’s NYE we have zero chance of securing another property comparable to the Union Station. The representative from the hotel was indifferent and offered to cancel my stay. The manager also reached out but offered mostly excuses for their poor customer service. Unfortunately, this terrible experience has caused me to stay elsewhere when I visit Nashville,

EXPENSIVE AND LOW QUALITY
Pros:

Nice looking hotel at first glance. Then you will trip over the ragged carpet. You wont have soap in your room. You will order expensive room service to only taste cheap disgusting tasting foods. They will make you valet, and spend eighty two dollars a night to do so. You will call for your car in the morning. Only to find the guy sleeping in his. I paid for the room with my reward points only to be charged for the room again on the way out. This situation is still not handled. Not as nice as it appeared. Not happy at all with the experience.

A Hotel Worthy Of My Queen For Our Anniversary
Pros:

My wife and I were celebrating an especially significant anniversary and were looking for lodging that suited the occasion. We considered places like Conrad, Four Seasons, Grand Hyatt and we picked The Union Station for its character, and it did not disappoint.

The Union Station was fit for my queen. The building capitalized on every bit of its historical heritage as a train station with architectural elements reminiscent of Grand Central Terminal—ornate arched ceilings, grand chandeliers, and the elegant use of beautiful wood throughout.

Genesis was awesome. She took time to tell us about the hotel and to make us feel at home. She was our first touchpoint and was representative of the service we received the duration of our stay.

We had a corner room with awesome 20+ foot ceilings, near floor to ceiling windows and it was immaculate. My wife was so comfortable that she slept directly on the sheets rather than her customary sheets that she brings from home! 🤣 (No offense, she'd do that if we were staying at the Taj mahal)

It was located in walking distance from a number of museums and restaurants. We enjoyed one of the best meals we have ever had less than two blocks at Prince's Hot Chicken in Assembly Food Hall. We enjoyed a great experience at the African American Museum right down the street. We celebrated with a pleasant anniversary dinner right next door at The Finch. And then we went to a Jazz Club that was within walking distance.

The Union Station made for a great centerpiece for a wonderful anniversary getaway, providing convenient access to many of the wonderful things that Nashville has to offer.

It was my first time using valet and the process was streamlined and seamless. Frankly, it's the only practical way of parking at the hotel and was easy enough to not need workaround plans.

That access comes with an important caveat—noise, but moderate noise. You're around the corner from clubs and bars, and the hotel is above an active train track. So, some noise would be a reasonable expectations. For me, the noise level was present but negligible and was not disruptive to our talking or sleeping.

If we're ever back in Nashville, this will be on our shortlist of places to stay. It's pricier than the upper midscale hotels we typically frequent, but I expected it to be and it was worth every penny.

Disappointed, no follow up
Pros:

The Union Station Autograph Collection property in Nashville is truly beautiful, and I want to begin by acknowledging the positives. The valet team was excellent, and the bartenders were friendly, attentive, and made our evenings enjoyable. Those team members represented the brand very well.

Unfortunately, our overall experience was significantly impacted by the condition of our guest room, which was not clean upon arrival. This was immediately brought to the attention of hotel staff. We were told the issue would be addressed and that some form of compensation would be offered, yet that never happened.

Jessica, who was handling the situation, failed to follow through—there was no update, no resolution, and no acknowledgment after the initial conversation. To make matters worse, I also reached out directly to the General Manager and never received a response.

We are Titanium Elite Marriott members who have traveled with Marriott all over the world. We are extremely loyal to the brand, which makes this lack of accountability and follow-up especially disappointing. For a property in the Autograph Collection, the standards for cleanliness, communication, and guest care should be much higher.

While the hotel itself is beautiful, the service recovery fell far short of what we expect from Marriott—and that was the most disappointing part of our stay.

Lovely
Pros:

A hotel stay is about warm hospitality and comfort. The front desk is the first impression and Aman impressed. With his kind smile and attentive attitude, he checked us in quickly and was well informed about things a first time visitor would want to know.

The lobby (if you can call it that) is gorgeous. Sprinkled with a couple of games like tick tak toe and shuffle board you’d think I was describing a neighborhood bar but obviously not the case at this elevated hotel. The games added warmth to this massive and stunning lobby.

Parking was the only thing I would comment on that was not pleasant. Valet was WONDERFUL. I just didn’t do my research/reading on parking in that area. I spend over $100 to public self park. I should have valeted!

Our room on the 4th floor was a corner room with views of the valet area and back parking lot. Not charming yet the room was so elegant with the floor to ceiling curtains, espresso maker, massive modern mirror and all the other refined polishes to the room that I hardly noticed the lack of an actual view. One of the most comfortable hotel beds I’ve ever slept in.

We had a drink at the Car Bar and dined at Stationary on Nov 29, 2025 - both located inside the hotel. What delightful service at Stationary. I didn’t get our servers names but he was excellent. We were sat at the resturant immediately upon opening, so thank you to the service!

Worst stay ever.
Pros:

Worst hotel ever. Second floor rooms smell like kitchen. Then moved us to room with air vent blowing on top of our heads on bed. A disaster of a front desk. Hotel stayer beware

Good BUT CLOGGED DRAIN!
Pros:

The valets and bell hops were amazing. The check on Friday was a bit long of a wait and quite an annoyance. We had to request maintenance to clear out the drain in our bathroom as the shower held water. The hotel was very cool. This hotel is not cheap. It is definitely a luxury level hotel. For this level of hotel I expected the maintenance to be much better. We should not have needed to request our drain be unclogged. We also should not be waiting 15+ minutes to check in. The rates for our stay were well above $650/night for a standard king.
