The pool and location for water activities
The rooms are outdated and the noise from the ferry in front of the hotel. The amenities and breakfast were disappointing.
Staff was amazing! So accommodating and kind - 10/10!
The desk in our room could be removed and a bench in its place for luggage etc would have been SO nice. We didn’t have a place for our luggage - but we made it work.
WE loved the hotel. The rooms were clean and the suite we had was beautiful. The service was amazing the 2 women at the front desk were so helpful and
booked our dinners and boats and car service .. Breakfast was amazing.. Just a beautiful place. If you are using Ferry's its the best location since you do NOT have to carry luggage up the hills or use the porters.
Tutto perfetto staff cordiale e professionale
Great hotel, great location.
Warm welcome ( champagne to celebrate our anniversary) Location, views, cleaning service outstanding, breakfast was outstanding, being able to walk off ferry and check in within 2 mins. Everyone very professional and helpful.
Having to pay for bags to be transported to a location that a car could pick us up from.
Perfect location, amazing views. Eating the complimentary breakfast with the view of Positano was a highlight every day. The pool has breathtaking views. Antonella was extremely helpful every step of the way. Highly recommend!
Amazing hotel! The staff is absolutely the best. We stayed there last year and it was just as great this year. Gino and all the staff go above and beyond. It was our 40th wedding anniversary and Gino helped me surprise my husband with a vow renewal. He suggested an officiant and photographer and gave us a larger terrace so we could do the ceremony there with all of Positano in the background. We received a bottle of champagne from the hotel congratulating us. They helped my husband pick out a beautiful bouquet of flowers to surprise me in our room. It is right near the ferry dock so easy to go see other towns from there.
We took the ferry from Naples. We were thrilled to find the hotel at the edge of the water. The staff were fantastic. They anticipated there would be cancellations for our return to Naples and offered to arrange alternative transportation. The food, rooms and service exceeded expectations.
I just ended a wonderful stay here at this classic seaside hotel in Postiano. Unless you have easy to navigate (and lift) luggage, I suggest you opt for the €10 per bag during the day and €20 per bag in the evening and overnight. They're serious when they tell you that it's a distance from the roadway through the pedestrian pathways. Be sure to set the hotel in your GPS as the signage down drops off at times and you'll wind up having to ask for assistance. If it's during tourist season, you'll have massive amounts of people to navigate past. That said, once you arrive, you are greeting by a relaxing and welcoming setting.
The rooms themselves are lovely - a mix of mid century classic Italian/Amalfi along with some modern touches. The rooms are lined with Italian tiles that are soft to the touch. I opted for a balcony with view and I'm really glad I did as I have a gorgeous view along with seaside smells throughout my stay. I often left my balcony doors open overnight for both the ocean sound & smell experience. The one negative is that it occasionally gets loud or smelly from the fuel of the continually loading and unloading of passenger ferrys which are literally steps away from the hotel.
Be sure to spend time at the glorious pool as the staff are attentive and the comfort is extreme with absolutely stunning views on top of it all as the lounges face out towards the sea and mountains. The restaurants - both Savino and the breakfast area are staffed with helpful and friendly folks - especially the hosts themselves who want to ensure you have a great experience. My dinner was one of the best meals in Amafli and breakfast was plentiful and fresh each morning - again both featuring stunning views.
The property was clean and well maintained and the front desk and concierge team were absolutely outstanding and willing to ensure you have a great experience in Italy.
It was the best decision to stay in Positano as it totally cleared of tourists by ~5P which made for a truly magical setting throughout the seaside and adjacent hills.
Location.
It wasn’t a 5 star level.
This is a lovely hotel in an ideal location in Positano. We especially love the swimming pool that overlooks the town as well as the coast to Praiano - it's a great place to relax after a days touring of the town or other parts of the Amalfi Coast. All of the staff are friendly and extremely helpful - my wife and I always come back to stay at Covo dei Saraceni when we come back to Positano!
Came to Positano from Naples for 2 nights while on a 10 day trip to Campania in Italy.
This is a lovely hotel with a great central location near the beach and the Marina.
The staff are very helpful and nice. There is a wonderful breakfast served in a lovely room overlooking the bay. Rooms have a balcony and we were very lucky to have pleasant weather so added to our experience. There is a lovely rooftop swimming pool with full bar service but remember food and drink in Positano is not cheap, but when on holidays need to park this and enjoy.
One downside is that it is only accessible on foot if you travel by car but the ideal is to get a ferry as is less than 100m to the Marina.
All in all a wonderful visit and to be recommended.
Our stay at Covo Dei Saraceni was truly magical ... from the service, to the views and the authenticity at this hotel made our vacation so very special. The location is most impressive, perched over the sea and so very convenient to town, shops and restaurants. We didn't want to leave this enchanting hotel. Thank you to all for the memories !
Excellent. Location is perfect. Beachfront.
