Hyatt Centric Chicago Magnificent Mile

We loved our stay at the Hyatt Centric! We emailed the hotel a week before our stay to let them know we were traveling with our 3 and 6yo and celebrating my birthday and they upgraded us to the executive king suite and had a tray of welcome snacks ready for us in our room! This room was perfect for the kids (slept on the pull out couch bed together) and gave us lots of space to get comfy. The staff was lovely and always super sweet with the kids. We loved having the pool and hot tub to come back to after a long day of sightseeing and took advantage of them every day of our trip! Room service was tasty and a super convenient option when everyone was tired and indecisive. The Starbucks downstairs was also nice to have as an option for a quick breakfast. The location was perfect for walking to the bean/millennium park and navy pier (even for little 3yo legs!). The only thing I will mention was a bit of siren noise due to the proximity to the hospital. It didn’t really bother or wake us, and we weren’t expecting complete silence stying in downtown anyways. But worth mentioning if maybe you’re sensitive to that! All in all we loved the Hyatt Centric and will definitely stay here again on our trip back to Chicago!!

Beautiful hotel to start. I lost my wallet and had to catch a flight and Fabian, Monze Rodrigues, and Ana spent hours helping me look for it. Before that they never once said no to any request I had. Right hand up the best hospitality I’ve had at a hotel, resort, etc. I will be only staying here every time I come to Chicago

The experience at this hotel was wonderful. I feel Hyatt in general does a good job on breakfast and this hotel didn't disappoint. Everyone I came in contact was great from checkin, restaurant, housekeeping, and sales. The hotel is clean as expected. Staff was responsive to our needs. We had a small group. It is hard to name names because everyone stood out but here are a few that made the trip great: Luretta in Sales, Kaitlyn, Mary, Meg and Elizabeth in Sales. There was a server who was pregnant she was phenomenal. There were 21 of us and all enjoyed the hotel. The kids enjoyed the pool. The pool and whirlpool were clean. I will definitely stay here again

Our family of four stayed in a King Suite on the 14th floor. The room was clean and very spacious for a hotel right in the city. Location was perfect: there's a Starbucks right downstairs, a Stan's Donuts down the street, bagel place a little further down, and of course walking distance to great shopping on the Mag Mile. The suite is perfect for a family of 4. Housekeeping staff was always friendly and helpful. One thing to note: the master bed was very low as well as the toilet. This may be an issue for older people who have trouble getting up and down. Wasn't an issue for us, but something to be aware of. Also, a white noise machine is provided in the master bedroom to block out the city sounds and sirens from the hospital. Pack your own white noise machine for whomever sleeps on the sofa in the living room to block out hallway noises. The walls seemed thin.

We were disappointed with the dirty hot tub and pool. The location was great. The room was clean.

Directly on the Magnificent Mile

Clean, modern hotel in a great location. Large rooms great for families. Full service restaurant, pool and hot tub are small but good enough for a quick visit.

Had a nice 2 day stay. Hotel is in good condition. Housekeeping was very good. Room was large and comfortable (exec suite). Breakfast was excellent!

Nice hotel, good staff. Only complaint is that the beds are too soft. We have stayed at many Hyatt properties...the great points redemption rate is a big reason. But the last half dozen times, at all different properties, we have noticed the beds are mediocre....usually too soft. We'll be back in Chicago soon but will try another hotel in hopes of getting a better night's sleep.

Last weekend friends and I decided to get together for a long overdue ladies weekend, we chose the Hyatt Centric Mag Mile for it fabulous location near every great restaurant and shopping you could ever imagine, we spent Friday through Sunday and had a fantastic time, the hotel is very well maintained, very clean and the staff is exceptional. We were greeted and brought to the room upon arrival, we weren’t there long and a complimentary cheese tray was delivered to our room, (Nice touch Hyatt) 💙 The restaurant and bar on the second floor has a great little menu and an assortment of wonderful drinks,
After heading out for dinners we usually ended up having a nightcap at the lounge, the staff were very nice and friendly. Breakfast was an array of breakfast food with a delicious buffet and menu items, the staff took such great care of us each morning with wonderful greetings and smiles, they were efficient, happy and we looked forward to seeing these amazing people each morning, Kenya, Karina, Brenda and Joel, Kudos to Monze for having an incredible staff. I will definitely recommend Hyatt Centric Magnificent Mile to anyone traveling to Chicago and I plan on booking another weekend very soon.

Great location with quick access to about anything you would want in Chicago. I also love the mid-century modern aesthetic.

Everything was pretty good

Check in process was horrible. They were not accommodating and indicated I may have to wait until midnight to get checked in! They double charged my credit card putting a one month hold on my funds.
