Fantastic location. Safe upscale neighborhood. Easy walk to Navy Pier and Gold Coast shopping. The room was very nice, clean, perfect.
Great hotel location. It's very close to Michigan Ave for shopping, walking the river, many food options. I love the modern updated feel of the hotel, rooms, amenities. I personally prefer Hyatt and always look for one in the area when booking a hotel. Atmosphere and rooms were wonderful. I stayed in a corner king high floor and it was beautiful and gave me the extra city view. It was very clean throughout the hotel and my room. Noise level was very minimal. The only negative I would say and why I'm only giving a three star is due to language barriers with the restaurant staff. I have a dairy allergy and informed the host, the person getting me coffee and water, the waitress that took my order and she communicated in Spanish to the cooks. When my food arrived she assured me it was prepared separately but you could see a chunk of butter on the avocado toast which was unfortunate because I was already half a slice in before catching it. I spent almost half my day in my room next to the bathroom because of this, which was a bummer for my weekend getaway to recharge, refresh and have a relaxing weekend away. They did comp me for my food which I appreciated but it's still a bummer to go through physically. I will still stay here in the future, I'll just be avoiding the onsite restaurant.
I have not stayed at this hotel in over five years, but used to stay there weekly for many years. So what a surprise to receive a warm welcome and be remembered by Debbie Gatewood, the Assistant Front Office Manager. We were staying at the hotel for surgery for my husband, and Debbie's hospitality really eased our anxiety. I could not believe she remembered a guest who had not been at her hotel in five years. She is a standout. The hotel itself is lovely. Rooms are large, remodeling was well-done, and the service all around was excellent.
It was amazing and super easy to get to.
The pool was very small.
Unexpected gem. Great location right next to Michigan Ave. Lots of iconic Chicago within walking. Hotel in excellent condition. Friendly staff. Breakfast was great and bar area nicely appointed.
A very nice hotel. Everything looked great. Although very pricey (typical of any downtown Chicago restaurant), the food was excellent. A very convenient hotel for access to Northwestern Memorial Hospital. Unfortunately, I needed a handicapped-accessible room and found it to be minimally accessible. I had difficulty getting around my room while in a wheelchair.
I was very impressed with this hotel. The location, ambience, cleanliness, and comfiness. I would recommend and stay here again! The bar/restaurant exceeded my expectations as well.
Great location near the Mag Mile. Aside from the Chicago Auto Show we walked to our movie, dinners, and lunches in addition to most of the shopping from Water Tower Place to the Chicago River. The next time we will get a higher floor as the Ambulances from the hospital are quite loud.
We have found this Hyatt to be a convenient location for activities in Streeterville and River North, and on Michigan Avenue along the Magnificent Mile; it also connects directly to the huge Northwestern Memorial medical complex. Even the smallest rooms are quite comfortable. There are a bar and restaurant adjacent to check-in, and a Starbucks at the entrance, and you can find restaurants of many kinds in the surrounding blocks. (Beatrix, across the street, is a favorite of ours.)
The hotel is very clean, rooms spacious, and great meeting space too. The staff is very friendly and accommodating and our banquet functions were delicious! The team here is impressive and engaging, it exceeded any expectations.
Perfectly located for the hospital
The mattress was not comfortable and the pillows were awful
My husband had a procedure at Northwestern Hospital. We needed to stay 2 nights at the Hyatt Centrix and elected the Valet parking. When the parking attendant brought us our car upon departure it was damaged (badly scraped). We submitted claims to their insurer (Loss Capture). They refused our claims and said it was a third party. We trusted our car to them and now must submit to our insurer and pay the $1,000 deductible. Total damages are $3,475 so just not a small scrape. Our car is only 3 years old. We are retired and on a fixed income. I would not advise trusting them with your car. Very stressful on top of medical concerns.
Beautiful building super clean very nice staff. I stayed here to celebrate my partner's birthday. They gave a little good tray and were super kinda even sang is happy birthday. The room was stunning the bed was comfy the room has an a great view and it was an amazing experience for the price.
It's right next to a major hospital in downtown Chicago. every 30 minutes to an hour from 1-4 am you will just keep hearing ambulance sirens going off. Also the corner king room we stayed in had thinner walls than expected. I could hear the TV and people's music of the room right next to me I could even hear people talking very easily while just laying in our bed.
