Nice hotel, good value, great service, fantastic location
Pros:

Very nice, historic hotel in the heart of Boston. Clean and comfortable with very helpful and kind staff- especially the front desk. Service for valet parking and check-in was great and the value for the accommodation was good. The location is fantastic, in the center of everything, within easy walking access to major points of interest and restaurants.

The Dagny saved our holiday weekend to Boston. We would not hesitate to stay at the Dagny again.

We had originally booked our stay at Club Quarters Hotel Faneuil Hall. However, upon arrival at Club Quarters, the hotel lobby was shabby, there was no parking assistance, no luggage assistance, there was a huge line of people waiting to check-in, and only one front desk person who was overwhelmed. Once in the room, it was small and in rough shape. This was not the way we wanted to begin our stay in Boston. So we forfeited the cost of two nights at Club Quarters and moved to the Dagny which was a welcome treat by comparison. It was more than worth it to lose the money for our stay at the Club Quarters and salvage our holiday weekend with a great stay at the Dagny.

Issues resolved quickly and wonderfully.
Pros:

I had an issue with a room and once I told the reception the relocated me immediately and I was so very thankful for the change. Lotfi Mokrane did a wonderful job managing the switch and made my stay outstanding, especially since I was going to spend so much time working in my room. Thank you Lotfi!

Great room and location, expensive valet
Pros:

Great room, comfy bed and good bathroom. Great location.

Cons:

Valet was a bit of a let down, quite expensive at around 70 dollars and the car ended up being outside for a long time before anyone said it had arrived.

Great place to stay if you're exploring Boston for a few days.
Pros:

We visited The Dagny between Christmas and New Year 2025, when Boston was enjoying a healthy dose of ice, snow and rain, as well as -15 degrees C temps. It was in a great location for exploring Boston, near the waterfront and various key parts of The Freedom Trail, but also tucked away a little bit. It's a huge hotel. The room was comfortable, quiet and spacious, with a huge comfortable bed and good bathroom and shower. The staff were very friendly, too. Overall, a great place to stay.

Cons:

The $10 stipend in the coffee shop is a little strange - you have to remember to get it taken off your bill at the end, which we forgot. Also there were a lot of fruit flies on the pastries in the coffee shop. There can be some queues at hte front desk, but that's pretty common at large hotels. Overall, very little to complain about.
