The Dagny Boston

My stay at The Dagny Boston was amazing, but the highlight of my trip was truly Jon McKinnon. He is one of the best and most experienced concierges I have ever met. This was my first time visiting Boston while attending a stock pitch competition sponsored by UNCF, and Jon McKinnon made the experience unforgettable.

He was personable, funny, and answered what felt like 300 of my questions without ever making me feel like a bother. What impressed me most was that he did more than just give recommendations. He understood that first time visitors need help with logistics too. Whether I had 20 minutes or 2 hours free, he knew exactly how to help me make the most of my time.

Because of Jon, I enjoyed some amazing spots including Sail Loft for a lobster roll, clam chowder recommendations, and the incredible Boston cream pie croissant right inside the Dagny Tradesman Coffee House. He also made my stay seamless by helping with my bags the entire trip whether holding them before check in, sending them to my room, or storing them while I explored the city.

Outside of the hotel, I had an incredible time enjoying happy hour at Trade (get the chargrilled octopus, meatballs, and ask for the Colombian mixologist) visiting Saltie Girl for the best fries in life, watching a Celtics game who had the coolest halftime set, and ending the night with live music in the Seaport at Grace by Nia ( who we met at Saltie girl). This morning Jon suggested an Old Town Trolley Tour and I stopped by the harbor for pics of the Aniston Tea House and a classic lunch at the Omni Parker House! Boston was a great experience, but Jon’s hospitality is what made it truly memorable.

Friendly and helpful staff and good location. The bed was comfortable and the shower was great.

Nettes Personal in allen Bereichen, super Restaurant und insgesamt eine angenehme Atmosphäre.
Unsere Zimmer (wir waren nach Anreise und vor Abreise einer Tour in diesem Hotel) waren jeweils sehr geräumig und wir haben wirklich gut geschlafen.
Die Fenster lassen sich perfekt abdunkeln und es gab keine störenden Geräusche.
Wir haben uns wohlgefühlt und auch die Lage ist perfekt: fast gegenüber der Hafen mit hop on-hop off Busstationen- auf der anderen Seite beginnt die vieseitige Innenstadt mit all Ihren Sehenswürdigkeiten. Und der Flughafen ist auch nicht weit entfernt. Würde ich jederzeit wieder buchen.

A really nice stay at The Dagny, with plenty to like.

The hotel has a classy feel, is very clean, and is perfectly located for getting around Boston. The service was friendly and welcoming throughout.

The twin queen suite worked brilliantly for us as a family. Having a separate lounge area made a big difference and gave everyone more space to relax.

The only frustration was the adjoining door in the lounge, which did little to block noise from next door. At times it felt like the neighbours were in the room with us, not helped by their occasional bickering. Thankfully, the bedroom was behind another door, so nights were unaffected.

I was also not particularly impressed to be woken on our final morning by workers talking on a hoist outside our window and their subsequent constant drilling. There are works taking place on one of the elevations. This was not an issue over the weekend, but they resumed on the Monday morning, and we had not been made aware in advance that they would be there.

Overall, a great option in Boston, just with a small caveat around soundproofing and prior notice of external works.
