A real classic hotel
Pros:

The staff went above and beyond. From the bar staff going into the kitchen to get some real maple syrup for my whiskey sour, to the bellman who took care of storing and retrieving our bag (and being able to make change for a tip) This is the way a hotel should be run.

Would recommend and would love to stay here again
Pros:

The hotel is located close to Quincy market and the north end. We felt safe walking in this area after dark. Mom and 2 teens. The cafe in the lobby had a lot of options for quick breakfast. Our room was lovely, clean and a great view. The hair dryer worked well and I had to use the iron a few times and both were in good working order. The mattress was very comfortable and house keeping did a great job. I checked for bed bugs and found zero critters in the room or suitcases. They do not sell or have any items that you may have forgotten. The closest pharmacy is a 5 or 10 min walk so remember your toothbrush. The staff was very friendly and helpful. One of the doormen intervened with an Uber driver to help us out which was nice. You also have to have a keycard to use the elevator which was another safety feature. The hotel had a lot of charm and feels ‘older and classic’ but does not function like an old hotel.

Cons:

We had an issue with the shower not draining and it got worse the second day. I told someone at the front desk but I’m not sure it was ever addressed because it continued to get worse every day. It was taking an hour to drain for the next person to shower and then it would fill back up when the next person showered, which was gross. No one followed up with us on it which was a little disappointing.

Pleasant stay, if you need an invoice make sure you get it before you leave

Pleasant hotel and location, also has a lounge

Cons:

They didn’t send an invoice like they said they would when I checked out. Kept asking via chat and email and eventually got it over a week later

Wonderful stay, would definitely stay here again!!
Pros:

Very clean, quiet, great black out shades, delicious espresso in the room. Friendly staff! Awesome location, very close to Faneuil Hall and surrounding areas!

Fragrant and clean hotel
Pros:

We initially planning to drop off our luggage because we arrived early in the city. The lady at the front desk let us check in early, higher floor, free of charge. The room and hallways are fragrant. I can literally smell the hotel from the street. There is no wait in the elevator.

Great hotel, friendly staff!
Pros:

Great location in Boston within walking distance of great shops, restaurants and attractions! Love this is an old building (built in 1928) updated to the comfortable room and convenient restaurant and coffee options in house. Lofti took great care of us when we checked in and saw to it we were assigned a room quickly, even though we were early! We will definitely come back!

Wonderful Weekend at The Dagny
Pros:

This hotel hit all the high points, the location was perfect, the facility was terrific, great breakfast area and wonderful evening restaurant. The staff was the icing on the cake; they were all so helpful, pleasant and just wonderful to talk with. We will definitely go back to The Dagny!!
