This hotel is an absolute gem. Spacious, luxurious rooms and top-tier accommodations and hospitality. The entire staff has been marvelous and the location is walkable distance to multiple attractions. The restaurant, bar, and lobby/lounge provide a welcoming but upscale experience. I will absolutely stay here again!!
No complaints!
It was a huge and lovely room and very comfortable.
room and bath were very well designed and furnished, with every convenience provided
Location was great. Front desk staff was even better!
Lots of leaks in the room as you can tell from the peeling wallpaper and stains on the wall. Black hairs all over the bathroom and one of the TVs didn’t work.
We stayed 4 Amazing days and nights at the SilverSmith Hotel in Downtown Chicago, absolutely perfect location for anything that you would want to see or do! We highly recommend taking the Architecture boat tour and investing in a city pass, there are so many fun things to do here, we will definitely return and stay at the SilverSmith Hotel, we would like to personally thank Enrique (Valet), Beverly (front desk), Andy, Jasmine, Victor and Veronica for your hospitality and for welcoming us with your kindness!
Excellent location near theatre, variety of restaurants and train. Excellent customer service from staff, Beverly and Enrique.
Rooms very clean. Lobby good for gathering together
It was a very nice stay. I find the bed and pillows very comfortable ( I think a good sleep is really important while travelling). And my room was very comfortable and clean. The location is great as well.
We have stayed at the Silversmith several times and have not been disappointed. The location is great—close to so many places in the Loop and steps away from the train. The staff is friendly and goes overboard to make us feel welcomed, answering our questions and even giving us helpful suggestions on public transportation and local places to eat. Enrique greeted us with a smile every morning! Rooms are comfortable and clean, and the lobby is bright and modern. We will be back with no hesitation.
We recently stayed at the Silversmith Hotel to celebrate our son’s birthday, and the experience was incredible. From the moment we arrived, the staff’s energy brought so much life to the hotel. A huge shoutout to Beverly and Savannah for making us feel so welcome.
Beverly even sang "Happy Birthday" to my son; he’s 14, so it might be the last year he can handle that much attention without dying of embarrassment! They also left a personalized card and chocolates in the room, plus a coupon for the SkyView at Navy Pier, which was a total hit.
The hotel itself is a total "vibe" and kept impeccably tidy. We enjoyed great conversations with the friendly bartenders, and even the valets were upbeat. The location is perfect for exploring downtown. We can’t wait to come back!
I cant say enough about the staff and overall experience we had at Silversmith. Getting to Chicago from S.Florida turned out to be a very frustrating and difficult experience due to many different issues but, once we arrived at Silversmith all that went away. Gabby was absolutley amazing. She welcomed us in with a hugh smile and personality that you just forces you to be calm and at ease. Exactly what we needed at that moment. Beyond that Beverly was truly a gem. She is just that type of personality that makes you feel like you have known her for years. I'll never stay at any other hotel any time I go back to Chi-town.
The hotel location is walking distance to Union Station, Grant Park, Institute of Art, the river situ all of it’s beautiful buildings and local restaurants. The elevated train runs by the hotel for extra convenience. The hotel is quiet, clean and comfortable. The staff are helpful and courteous. I recommend the Silversmith and would stay there again.
Very clean and very welcoming.
The showerhead was a bit loose. No outlets by the bed. But all else was absolutely fantastic!
Absolutely very fantastic location. The hotel it’s Office so much quieter and it more accessible on Palmer house where my meetings were. Very close tothe Chicago Art Institute and the Gage (excellent restaurant).
Was clean, quiet and the front desk clerks —all three of them—over the course of four days, were super kind warm and welcoming. Free drink tickets for their bar was a nice touch. I plan to stay here every time I return.
