Le personnel de la réception a fait payer la totalité du séjour dès l'arrivée à l'hôtel au couple bénéficiaire dun cadeau! Alors qu'une carte de crédit est caution sur le site Booking.com.
C'est la 1ère fois que ce fâcheux incident arrive! Habituellement, la carte de crédit caution est débitée à la fin du séjour sans que les bénéficiaires d'un cadeau n'aient à connaître le montant de la facture!
Le personnel n'a fait preuve d'aucune délicatesse! C'est déplorable pour un hôtel 5 étoiles!

We loved our time at the Tivoli, the staff was incredible, the room with the canal view was absolutely worth it. Their hotel breakfast and aperitif was exceptional 10/10 would go again.
Absolutely lovely stay - the staff was warm and welcoming. Breakfast was delicious. Views were stunning. Cannot wait to come visit and stay here again!
Last week, together with the students from the hotelschool, we were given a guided tour of this hotel. With great enthusiasm, we were shown many different rooms and were told extensively about the remarkable history of this beautiful hotel. It was very interesting to hear about its origins and history. What a beautiful hotel, with many special features and beautifully decorated room, is located in a fantastic location in Amsterdam. Thank you very much for this enjoyable guided tour and the warm welcome!
We visited the hotel in May, what surprised me most was the light and bright room with brilliant few on the canals. We really enjoyed our stay. All the staff was very friendly, from the doorman till the management. This hotel is on walking distance to all the hotspots in the city, museums, theatre, shops, etc and also near to public transport.
Location was excellent for all activities in Amsterdam including to and from Amsterdam Central Station. All the employees of hotel were very attentive to all our requests. Even the Tourist hospital was 8 walking minutes away
this is simply not a 5* hotel. I recognise that it's in an older building so there may be some restrictions, but in general it needs a complete overhaul. other than the location, it's very poor hotel and not up to Tivoli standard.

Pour un cinq étoiles, pas de boissons offertes dans le frigo de la chambre mis à part une simple bouteille d’eau, c’est la première fois que ça nous arrive dans un établissement de cette catégorie.

Amazing hotel in the heart of Amsterdam. I stayed in a fabulous room on the fifth floor with a beautiful canal view. The bathroom was spotless and impeccably maintained. Both dinner and breakfast were outstanding, thanks not only to the excellent food quality but also to the exceptional service provided by Arrate, Dani, Rose, Emeric and Illia. Highly recommended.
