The room was impressive as it had all one could expect in highest quality one could need.

The breakfast is nutritious, generous and has a wide choice selection - all at your service.

The dinner is fabulous, like guiding you on a boat through misty canals of Rembrandts genius.

The atmosphere is timeless, enduring the tides of time.

To conclude, an amazing experience worth enjoying for a short moment, for our lives are so so short.

We loved this boutique hotel. What stands out most is the personalized, attentive service provided by staff. We have traveled to many beautiful hotels, but this one rates highest as far as personnel. Each and every staff member has a lovely countenance and each truly values the guests. We highly suggest a stay at this lovely hotel.

My wife and I had a wonderful stay at Tivoli Doelen Hotel. We found all of the staff especially helpful, specifically Rocio and Annia with checking in, recommendations, bookings and finding great local places to go.

The cleaning staff were kind and helpful in getting additional supplies as needed

Staff at check in were very helpful and accommodating

We stayed in a balcony room overlooking a canal. The ability to get out on the balcony (6th story room) was very nice and quite enjoyable as we could take in the city from there. The room was well maintained and had everything we needed. If I had to critique anything, it would be counter space in the bathroom. There's not much.

All of the staff we encountered, from the bellman, to front desk, restaurant staff and housekeeping, were friendly and hospitable. We booked through American Express travel rewards which comes with early check-in, if available, as well as guaranteed late checkout, and a credit for spend at the property. Unfortunately, an early check-in was not available, as there are only a few balcony canal-view rooms, so I understood that. The bellman was able to store our luggage so we could go explore the city and do the things we had planned for that day. That evening, once we were done with our planned events and returned to the hotel, our room was ready, check-in was quick and easy, and staff brought our luggage up to the room very quickly.

I was told that this was the oldest hotel in Amsterdam. It's obviously been updated and is well-maintained, and provided us with a good base of operations for a visit in the city. If we're back, I would not hesitate to stay there again.

Do not Book here! Not a 5 star standard at all!! Lobby, restaurant is very nice, but it ends there. Rooms are terrible and the general manager,Angelo Vassallo never came to us to discuss it. We had to ask three times to see him. When he finally approached us he looked annoyed we had an issue.
Our room had stained, very dirty carpet and chairs. Dried liquid drippings. Very old, chipped furniture. Also, the upstairs corridors had chipped paint and dark smudges everywhere you looked.
Booked canal view room many months ago to celebrate anniversary and birthday. Could not stay in the disgusting room. Got moved to a brick wall, noisy street view and that second room also had very old, dirty carpet, broken front door with a hole, sticky deteriorated hair dryer, broken towel shelf.
We are not the type of people to complain, but the two room conditions were unacceptable and what made this experience worse was the uncaring attitude of the general manager. Like we were bothering him.
At least he could have said have a drink or a breakfast or a dinner on them for the inconvenience. He did not. We had to debate snd negotiate for a free breakfast. Pictures attached. So disappointed!
