Less than stellar staff and very uncomfortable beds.

Run down facilities, very basic amenities (there wasn’t even an extra roll of toilet paper in our room and when I went to get towels they didn’t have a full set, ice machine not working, etc.), bed comfort just ok, you have to request service a day ahead and they don’t service every floor every day, short staffed and very long wait to get helped, key lock malfunctioned.

I think I had bed bugs! The day after I got home, clusters of red bites appeared on my chest and shoulders. Also, creepy clientele and scary parking situation.

Nothing was outta place

My day was quoted a certain price once I arrived, I could not find parking other than a 10 minute parking area, so we parked on the side of the building, which seemed to be a shared space with another business. When asking about parking I was cut off saying that it would be explained and I would be directed once my room payment was processed after that. I was then told that there was an additional $19 charge for parking and this parking was across four lanes of traffic in a parking lot that I had to walk back from. So I paid $19 for offsite parking that I had to walk back across four lanes of traffic to get back to the hotel which obviously meant I had to then check out and walk across four lanes of traffic to get to my vehicle. I was also charged a $50 deposit for the room which was explained I would get back and I only got $31 back. One would think by doing the math that the $19 for parking came out of my $50 deposit when in fact it did not because the $50 charge was on my bill as well as the $19 charge as well as tax, etc. The vending machines were set up that each purchase from the vending machine was charged a two dollar service charge. Keep in mind this is not a four star hotel. This is a red roof. I selected it because it was in a convention center area surrounded by better hotels so I assumed that it would be decent!

The parking happened to park across the street and paying an additional $15 a night just to park

Our room had a leak in the light as you entered the room in the ceiling, the carpet in the entrance was soaked, and also had a very bad mold smell. The air did not work, appeared to be controlled possibly elsewhere? It would kick on and off but we had no control of it although it seemed to be a self-contained for the room unit. The control area didn't even light up. The window had a sort of haze/clouding so you could not see out clearly. Our TV did not work, nor did the remote. We attempted to manually use the television, which did power on, but was stuck on a floating screen that read something along the lines of how to get off that screen, but the directions given, did not actually exist as options to choose from on tv menu in settings. We waited at the front desk around 20 minutes before a staff arrived to check us in. We were under the impression parking was free, it was not. The lot you pay for, was small, and overcrowded. We got the last remaining space, when there were 6-10 others behind us in line that were also, going to need parking when there were no remaining spots. We had a strict itinerary, so we did not request a new room, the bed was clean and the carpet area was small. We agreed to just wear shoes on the carpet and make the best of it. I let the staff know the next morning at check out and she told me that there were not any options for her to do anything about this, that I should have told someone the day prior. I then, said that I was not letting her know due to anger or wanting refunded or anything of that sort but more to just let them know the room in my opinion was not suitable to be turned over for a new guest until the issues were taken care of. In my opinion, she just looked at me as if I had two heads and was speaking an unknown language. After an uncomfortable silence, she said I would receive an email following check out, that i should let the people on that email know, because she again, could not do anything about that.
