for one night it was just ok
Pros:

Breakfast was better than expected, bed was comfortable, room was very outdated and minor repairs that seemed to be done were done cheap and low quality (bathroom door jam, pieces of wood/cardboard material in shower)

Perfect location for a family staying to go to Legoland or just hang around Carlsbad.
Pros:

The pool was small but nice and clean,breakfast was convenient and our room was perfect for what we needed it. My kids loved the bunk beds!
