Country Inn & Suites by Radisson, Sevierville-Kodak, TN

The staff was rude at check in. Once, we got to the room it smelt like mold. We went to put out stuff down and there was blood on the bedding . Yes, that's right BLOOD ! We asked to be moved and they were not able to move us room, so we asked for a bedding change. The lady proceeded to not have the bedding changed for us. She went and grabbed us fresh linens and told us to go change it ourselves. We got back to the room went to the bathroom and the shower was stained brown in the corners and the shower head was broken. I would NOT recommend this place to stay. We literally just left and didn't even get a refund and found a new place to stay.

The cleanliness of the elevators ,the hallways,and the room overall.I worked in housekeeping and the laziness of the cleaning now is sad,people are spending money to stay somewhere clean you need checkers to go behind and the housekeepers and make sure the rooms are being cleaned like they should that would reduce complaints and having to give out discounts for inconvenience .People will not come back to a worn down and dirty hotel.

Carpet was disgustingly dirty, towels worn with holes, bathroom had rust, needed paint and furniture old.

Paid extra for a room with a balcony but there was no furniture on the balcony which meant it was pointless having it.
There was no washer or dryer in the guest laundry. We chose that hotel specifically because we needed to do washing.

Breakfast lady was very rude and tried to scold my granddaughter for spilling milk as she was looking for a napkin to clean the little drops on the counter. She’s 7. Give her a minute. And I was right there with her. We will definitely not be back.

The rooms were absolutely filthy! Not only the fact that we had to get someone up there immediately after check-in, to clean an air filter that someone else had checked and left on the floor, the beds were beyond disgusting. I have to be honest when saying that I have never experienced such a nasty room in the many years that I have traveled as an adult and as a child. I really wished that I had read the reviews on the hotel website instead of the booking.com website. Under the sheet was what looked to be dried up poop and a dead maggot. The floors were nasty, hair on the bathroom floor, on the dust ruffle was black shoe prints and just black nastiness. The room smelt funny from the beginning. I would assume that it was from the mold between pieced together wallpaper and flooring. The pieced together flooring in the elevator was a joke! When I went down stairs after checking in to speak to the African American lady up front, she first said that the cleaning people had left for the day, but in fact they were still there as she later discovered. They handed her their approx. 6 month old baby and proceeded to go upstairs to see the air filters as their other 2 children followed them to our room. The lady up front told me that we could find another hotel or she could refund us the money that we had paid, as she stated they were fully booked for the night. From there the vent was fixed, but we had later discovered the poop and maggot as we went to go to bed that night. I went back down and asked her again if they happen to have another room, she promptly said no and was very standoffish about the entire situation. She did offer us sheets to change out own bedding and while I have not lived a "fancy" lifestyle and am not opposed to making a bed, I just couldn't bring myself to stay in that hotel. I gave the keys back to her and she quickly changed her mind about the refund.

Balcony not clean.

The property itself wasn’t bad at all, the lady at the front desk that works day shift was very rude and not a very friendly person, also my room was on the first floor which I didn’t mind but there was a bunch of random trash all over the floor in the hallway right in front of the door, we notified the front desk person and waited a while to see if she could come and clean it up, but she said she was u able to because she couldn’t get into the cleaners closet. In the room the microwave was missing, there was also a bag covering the smoke detector. I have a small child that was very concerning to me, the room could have been cleaned a little better, the pool area was very nice. The breakfast was ok.

The bed was horrible. Neither of us slept at all.
