Would definitely stay again.
Pros:

Good location, centrally located to where family are living and easy walking distance to museums and Vondelpark, old centre of Amsterdam, De Pijp as well as being well serviced by trams and trains. Spacious room, excellent buffet style breakfast included in price and small well equipped gym.

Cons:

Disappointed that didn't get a room with a canal view. Paid in full in advance but have been charged an additional amount by hotel post-departure which I'm waiting for an explanation of why.

Pros:

Fijne ligging. Op loopafstand van leuke eettentjes. Schoon en mooi hotel.

Cons:

Parkeer kosten van 65 euro per dag, is absurd.

Excellent Hotel but have to have more money than needed
Pros:

The hotel provides, voluptuous breakfast, but still could be there more variety of fruits:
AS for location we have taken taxi for vesting the Van Gogh Museum

Cons:

When you check in to this hotel, you must pay an insurance deposit of 150 euros and then you wait to be returned. Not on the second day!
City tax was 60 Euro for one day/night, supposed too much

A great stay for those passing by Amsterdam
Pros:

Superbly located just outside the busy touristic center (but at very short - walking - distance from it) in a residential area with numerous bars and restaurants. About 20min by metro, and then only 10min walk from de Pijp metro station and located by a canal (actually near a canoeing club). The hotel feels very cozy and warm. The staff was superbly friendly and helpful. The room was big enough, well equipped, quiet and comfortable. Decoration in the hotel is around the Amsterdam Olympic Games of 1928 which took place in the same area (I was told the Olympic Stadium is still visible). A good solution if staying in AMsterdam for pleasure or work.

Cons:

There is a kind of Japanese (or Asian) mini garden that would definitely some more attention from the hotel. It would add to the peacful and comfy feeling.

Fijn personeel, goede bedden met goede kussens, kamers zijn ruim en lokatie is top. Eten is ook zeer goed.
