Good central location.
Everything was great! The beds were perfect. Sometimes you can listen the people who arrive to the hotel, but there is no a big problem
Friendly staff
Room too small
An alright hotel, incredulous thin walls however and the rules about not using the shared balcony’s or smoking were definitely not being followed by the other guests.
Clean, quiet and a great location. Good value for the price. It’s basic but great to have a quiet room with a window that opens! Museums and a supermarket across the street as well as a tram stop. Everything is accessible and easy to navigate. Recommended.
Nice place and location. Recommend fans in room gets hot and a bit stuffy when it is warm outside. Can’t have balcony door open at night for fresh air.
Fantastic
There were ants in the room. Great location though. Overpriced for a room with ants.
We had a great stay! Location was amazing, the room was comfortable, the staff was incredibly nice and helpful.
Comfortable for our family. Expensive.
I have never seen a hotel this small with beds you can not fit into.
Elevator can only hold two regular size people.
The stairs going up and down inside are do steep you’ll fall if you do not look.
I didn’t saw any air condition but I’ll saw there was none.
You can hardly move around if two people are inside this hotel.
This hotel is more like a closet.
Stayed a couple nights with a 6 month baby and family. Staff were all very friendly and more than helpful. Our room was both clean and spacious, we also had a balcony which we enjoyed using. Water was hot. Beds and bedding were comfortable. Great location! Would definitely look into staying again the next time we are visiting Amsterdam. Thank you
Never seen such a small room! Is it enough, yes, when you are in Amsterdam for a long week end prefer to spend your money on sightseeing rather than a fancy hotel. Very friendly staff. Good location, nearby the Van Gogh museum. Easy access from Schiphol with the bus 397. Beds are tiny but comfy, new towels every day. That's it, do not expect more.
Ridiculous value for money.
It’s a well-located hotel, and that is the only Pro.
The room itself is tiny. Uncomfortable beds
Very dirty, the heating doesn’t work (a small window with drafts), and they don’t clean the room properly (they added toilet paper and just “threw” the blanket on the bed without even taking out the trash).
Not to mention the reception: small, disorganized, and with indifferent staff.
There are no closets to store your belongings, and it smells bad.
I strongly advise against it.
Absolutely not worth the price.
Our firsthand impression of the hotel was ok: nice area and welcoming staff. But unfortunately we discovered bed bugs in two rooms during our stay at hotel Trianon. Furthermore the rooms where not clean.
We did not receive refund whatsoever.
This is a great place to stay if you like to walk to different areas. Vondelpark, and popular areas like DePijp, Leidseplein, and Klaverstraat are within distrance. And the tram stops are a minute walk away. International travelers can take the bus to the hotel; the bus stop is within a quarter mile of the hotel.
Staff is friendly.
great property to stay
We stayed here to attend ADE last weekend. Our room was very small, there is no option for breakfast and the hygiene in the room was very poor! There were ants in our bathroom and even in our bed. When I read the reviews, other guests had already complained about this problem in august. Three months later, the ants were still there. This is unacceptable!
The hotel also has a very dangerous elevator and the stairs are small. You can hear other guests enter their room in the hallway or even on other floors.
Never coming back.
I’ve stayed in some flea pits in my days but this is by far #1
The location is decent if you’re looking to explore the museums. The neighbourhood is very nice with a fantastic bakery around the corner.
The building has walls, a roof and beds….thats about it though.
To say that it’s dated and rough around the edges is an understatement.
We stayed in a twin room with bunk beds.
It was hands down THE SMALLEST ROOM that I’ve ever stayed in. It was the size of a small galley kitchen. You can touch both walls at the same time. It has a shower and a toilet….that are within about 2 inches of each other. I honestly felt dirtier for having a shower. It was grim. There was one of the previous guests socks in the shower when we arrived, so it clearly hadn’t been cleaned properly, if at all.
When you open the door to the shower/ toilet, the toilet is directly in front of the door. I’m 6,1” and I could only just close the door when sat on the toilet. I had to stand straight upright when finished.
The wash basin sink was not in the shower/ toilet but instead next to the bed.
The room was honestly akin to a prison cell.
They did bring fresh towels daily, so that’s something positive.
We booked our room very last minute and didn’t check reviews prior to making the booking. Other reviews mention bed bugs and I’m honestly not surprised. I didn’t see any bed bugs but we did have ANTS in our room, which was also mentioned in another review.
Our trip overall was great but that was dispute the hotel room unfortunately.
If you’re not fussy at all and only staying for 1 night then this hotel will do the job.
Otherwise I honestly could not recommend this hotel.
The lift is unpredictable. Despite signs saying you need to stay clear of the door or it stops, theres extremely little room, especially with luggage.
Beds were the creakiest things in the world. Window had no latch, didnt want to leave balcony door open incase neightbour who shared balcony intruded. Taps for hot and cold water were the wrong way round. And there was a constant bad smell in the corridors
