Would not stay here again. Great location but difficult, expensive parking (I guess it’s a city, so is what it is.)
But had no idea when booking that this entire place is under intense renovation. I walked in and the lobby is mostly closed off and had a sewage smell. I got to the front desk, a little disoriented, and the receptionist did not even greet me. Just waved me forward, checked me in wordlessly, and handed me my hotel key. Again I get it— it’s a city and there’s maybe not a ton of hospitality with the volume of visitors- but it was rude to the point of slightly uncomfortable. If you work in hospitality or customer service, a basic “hello” may be occasionally required.
They collect a $35 “resort fee” for two bottles of water (the cheapest off brand you can buy… I know because I buy it, lol) and slow WiFi. The room itself was surprisingly large for a city room but extremely dark and dingy. The bathroom wasn’t clean— lots of hair (gross.)
The jackhammering from the construction woke me up at 7 AM. Just really bad and unacceptable to be charging what they charge people for this to have construction wake you up at 7 AM.
Definitely would skip this one and find somewhere else.
Great hotel, very clean and comfortable. Would recommend.
The staff. They were very personable, they allowed us an early check.
It was very hot, even when we put the fan on. I didn’t like that we were not notified that the hotel is undergoing renovations prior to booking, There was only one chair in the hotel room, not ideal if you’re traveling as a pair and also there was no streaming TV(but they’re working on this) so…
