The breakfast staff was amazing, they were so cheerful, welcoming and helpful. They were 10/10.

Not a great experience during our family’s stay. There are only two elevators servicing this hotel and wait times for the elevators were long.

The second day we were there we came back to the hotel hto find many people waiting for the elevator. We heard from a couple of the guests that one elevator (the right side) was broken with someone stuck inside. Two hotel staff eventually arrived with one trying a tool to open the elevator door with no success. The left elevator did eventually arrive, it filled with multiple guests that had been waiting a long time. It was not a pleasant trip up. We were headed to our room on the 17th-floor and other guests to their floors or the 6th-floor lobby. The elevator moved in an erratic manner, very jerky and stopped prior to the 6th floor, the doors remained closed. Knowing that the other elevator had someone stuck inside and this one not operating properly was a scary experience, one of the guests on the elevator began to pray. It did make it to the 6th-floor, we got out there rather than risk our safety and let the person at the lobby desk know about our experience. She advised us to wait and we could use the staff elevator and had staff escort us up to the 17th-floor. A while later we wanted to head out to sightsee, no signs near elevator letting the guests know what was going on and no lights when elevator button was pressed. Other guests were trying to take the elevator and had no idea there were any elevator issues. We waited for a bit then called down to front desk for an update. We were told that the elevator was working, when we went down the hall we talked to a lady who said her husband was currently stuck inside the elevator on the right. Again no light when the button was pressed. We called front desk and were told we could use the staff elevator and they would send it to the 17th-floor, it took some time and was filled with other guests doing the same. We also spoke to one guest who was there a month earlier and had dealt with elevator issues. Another guest said earlier this same day her elevator stopped between floors and the door opened, she let them know but obviously things were not fixed as multiple people were getting stuck and things were not running as they should.

The staff was helpful but it would have been nice to have management communicate the safety issues with the elevators and update when things were fixed. I didn’t feel confident using the elevators for the remainder time out stay but walking up to the 17th-floor was not an option.

There were a few other issues, maintenance had to move cables on the tv in order to get it working, a bedside lamp/charger did not work, a hole in the wall around the dining area outlet making it loose, mold around the bathroom sink and the breakfast was just mediocre. These may be minor in comparison to elevator safety issues but still impacted our stay.

The hotel is in a great location but elevator safety is a huge issue and the potential for getting trapped in an elevator or worse is not something anyone should have to worry about when travelling, it created unnecessary stress during our vacation.

Muy buena ubicación y la habitación con todo lo necesario, en mi caso, que tenia cocina. Piso alto, hermosa vista. Y muy buen trato de su personal.

The breakfast was very good. The staff were wonderful! My accessible room was wonderful! The location of the hotel relative to Navy Pier was nice as well. The valet parking was also very nice.
