Stayed NYE. We had some drinks/food at the bar in the lobby. Ashley was our bartender and she was incredible and so kind. The concierge, Jim, checked us in and was very friendly. He filled us in on the activities the crescent was hosting that evening. Lastly, Amy down at the spa was a lifesaver when I forgot to bring a hair tie! Overall great service and hospitality, we will continue to come back! The hotel was decorated beautifully for the holiday season. Downtown location makes it easy to get to great bars and restaurants. Rooms were clean with normal amenities, the Juliet balconies are pretty but you can’t open them anymore. Overall a quiet, luxury hotel, average pricing for 4+ star hotel.
As opposed to our inital stay at this hotel about 6 months ago, this time it did not go so well. They did not have a room available at 5:30! By the time we returned from dinner I was certain they would have given us an upgrade, which they did not (I reserved thorugh AMEX platinum). Also the room was not prepared for 2 guests (watre, towels, etc...). When I complained they offered a discount, which was not applied to the bill.
Kip (Cyprionna) made us feel so welcome at the bar. The drink she made was amazing. The experience here was quite pleasurable and I’ll definitely return.
Kip is not just a bartender—she’s an experience. From the moment you step up to the bar, her presence is warm, confident, and effortlessly professional. She has an exceptional ability to read the room, anticipate needs, and make every guest feel genuinely welcomed and valued.
Her craftsmanship behind the bar is top-tier. Every drink is thoughtfully prepared, perfectly balanced, and served with pride. Whether it’s a classic cocktail or a creative recommendation tailored to your taste, Kip delivers consistency and excellence every single time.
What truly sets Kip apart, however, is her character. She brings energy without ego, humor without distraction, and professionalism without stiffness. She elevates the atmosphere, supports her team, and leaves a lasting impression on guests long after the glass is empty.
Nice hotel in Uptown. Stayed in the Metropolitan suite and it was big but very contemporary and stark. Spacious master with large king bed. Nice that it had no carpet. Master bath was very nice, big soaking tub and walk in shower. Second bath not so much. The sink in the second bath was about 2 inches deep and the faucet was low. Hard to even wash my hands. Sounds minor but we book suites so my wife can have the big bath and I use the half bath. It didn't have room to put anything.
HVAC controls were confusing and hard to adjust. The website for booking is not good. Confusing information about payment and hard to confirm reservations once made. Room service was very expensive and Valet was $70 per night. Did not have the feel of a luxury 5 star hotel although service was good. Trays from in room dining were left in the hall from multiple rooms all day.
This is a beautiful hotel but if you don't like a contemporary feel it may not be for you. Needs some TLC.
Very comfortable, convenient and well appointed hotel for business purposes. Very high-end and loved the Christmas display.
The facility and space are great. Excellent service. I think the room had thermostat issues but I wasn't there long enough for it to be a problem.
Decent hotel. Mediocre experience. For almost $600/night I was expecting a little more. Felt like a number and there was somewhat evident lack of effort shown by some of the staff to be hospitable. Much better experience at Joule Hotel for less cost.
I arrived at 1:00 am after a long day of traveling.. The front desk attendant was all smiles and welcomed me warmly. She even offered to see if there was anyone left in the kitchen who could make me something to eat...her idea, not mine. The property is gorgeous and immaculately maintained. Honestly...I don't know what I'd suggest that would have improved my stay.
First time traveling with our service dog and it was a great experience for us and our dog. We will certainly be back if ever traveling back through Dallas.
We did not have a good experience. We arrived at 4pm. Our room was not ready until 6:45pm because they couldn’t get a NBA team to leave. Several other guest had the same problem, and again the next night when another team arrived. When we finally got our room they could not find all of our luggage they were holding for us. When we got to our room it had a strong marijuana smell. The front desk guy came in and smelled it. He acknowledged the strong smell. He said they have a contract with the NBA and they just charge them a smoking fee. Problem was not just our room but the entire 4th floor was filled with marijuana.
Check in time is 4 pm. However, they are so grossly understaffed — check in time was closer to 6pm. Having a formal tuxedo dinner event at 6 pm., and paying north of $600, we are sick. The mansion, the Ritz, or the Stoneleigh are far better choices in Dallas. And to add insult to injury, they charge $70 got parking and their drinks are miserly and way over-priced.
My sisters and I stayed at The Crescent in August. This review could have been a four until I was double billed. The hotel was beautiful and the hotel staff was wonderful. We enjoyed the bar however they were lacking quite a few basic items, but we made the best of it and that wasn’t a big deal.
However, two months after our trip, I get a charge on my credit card for $1142.59. This is completely unacceptable. My sister booked the room and paid for it in advance using a third-party. I checked in early and put my credit card down for incidentals so when we checked out, the only charges were the bar and parking which amounted to around $600. That was all because as I stated earlier, my sister had prepaid for the room. That was the end of August and now we’re into November and I get this random charge on my credit card. I immediately called the hotel was transferred several times before talking with Kenisha from accounting and explained what had happened . She took my information and looked into it and said she had to talk with George and would get back to me. That was a week ago. This is pretty straight forward and should have been taken care of immediately. The room was paid for ahead of time. I paid the incidentals. End of story! I should have been credited the same day. Yet….nothing! No return phone call and no credit.
So what could’ve been a great review and a return to stay at this hotel has now been soured by misuse of my credit card. I feel like I was scammed.
I expected better!
Beautiful hotel in a great location with friendly staff. However, there is virtually no storage space for your belongings – no shelves nor drawers, even in a large suite. Very disappointed in the furnishings of our room, even though they were pretty.
Excellent hotel. It was fancier thgan the hotels I usually stay at. Only downside was no gift shop in the builoding
