N/A
We picked Dallas because we had people coming from both coasts. We agreed that one of us would get a large suite to allow us to avoid renting office space and transportation, but also allowed for creative collaboration space. The America Suite was perfect with an extra bathroom in the suite and allowing for privacy for the sleeping quarters. There was a good sized table and large living area. You could have 4 people at the table itself.
I would definitely stay here for business or pleasure again.
Pros:
* Good location in downtown Dallas, near Art District, and there is a DART (Dallas Light rail/Rapid Transit) stop right at the corner of the hotel, where four major lines converge.
* The room is spacious, and very clean, the housekeeping did an excellent job.
* The concierge team was courteous, even though I did not use their help or service, but they greeted you almost every time.
* The front desk went above and beyond in providing me a color map for the DART and a color area walking map with nearby attractions.
* Excellent hot shower temperature
* Nice hot breakfast with delicious and variety of food. You can order buffet or a la carte.
Cons:
* There are no food or restaurants after 4pm on weekdays, and on weekends anywhere within 1-2 blocks in all directions, all closed. It's a dead place during that time. But you can find some restaurants three blocks away. Or use food delivery service.
* There is a restaurant inside of the hotel on the first floor, which opens 7 days, the breakfast was fine and decent, but lunch/dinner menu was mediocre. The service was average, depends on who you get. A bald-headed white male bartender who also served as a waiter was rude and made inappropriate remark which I raised it to the management.
* One of the front desk staff, Jason, made a condescending remark on housekeeping by referring them as maid. I let him know it's inappropriate for all jobs are important and all are equal. Housekeeping's work contributes to at least 60% of overall guest experience.
Overall, it's a Marriott standard hotel.
Fantastic location. Good room. Great services from various staff members including Mathew. Nice views from room and good hosting team.
Rooms smell moldy and cigarettes - do not stay here! They remodeled but it felt like putting lipstick on a pig - stay way. Unless you want the low standart you can stay at this hotel
Spending time with my husband
Food was basic for Marriott
Parking way to expensive
Shops not open when it says online it is
Hotel was somewhat clean but no as would expect for a hotel to be
Staff tried to charge me random charges in the middle of the night but was declined due to suspicious activity
We loved our stay at the Dallas Marriott! A great classic hotel with all the offerings you would want. A cool feel attached to the indoor plaza! Mathew greeted us and made us feel very welcome. Thanks for a great stay!
Handy location and in walking distance to several hot spots. Barman downstairs were friendly and the rooms we clean and spacious.
The invoice only showed tax, not the full payment, and staff told me to get it from Booking.com, but Booking never provides invoices. My colleagues who paid the same way got full invoices, the staff were inconsistent and unprofessional. There was no daily bottled water, and although WiFi was supposed to be free, I was charged. Staff took my member number but didn’t add to the system. I had to double-check my bill when leaving. My room had a lot of red ants crawling on my food, so I had to change rooms, and the hot water was unstable—I had to wait 10 minutes for it once.
