Great Hotel and Excellent Location
Pros:

Amazing experience. Beautiful pool area with excellent service for towels, chairs, food and drinks. Beautiful beach with easy access and plenty of chairs and a team to help you out. We loved being further south in South Beach. The overall atmosphere was perfect - it was a little quieter and great for our family.

Thanks for saving a life!
Pros:

This is in regards to Chantel. She was serving at the pool area. She noticed an older man who appeared to be struggling to get out of the hot tub. She asked if he was okay and he said he was. As she turned to walk away, she could tell he was not okay and asked another employee to check on him as well. Several of us saw this and jumped in to aid the man. Turns out he is in his 80s and his wife and daughter are out shopping. The point is, he was alone and Chantel brought the attention so others of us could get him out of the hot tub. The crew got medical to come and the man is recovering. This is a shout out to Chantel and the team. Job well done!

Marriott needs an overhaul.
Pros:

I have been coming to this hotel for years. The hotel is in need of a renovation desperately.
Rooms are old and bathrooms are the smallest I have ever seen anywhere.
The pool is amazing as well as the pool staff.

The front desk has had so much turnover that they completely lack guest recognition and elite status benefits are barely mentioned or honored.

Pre-authorizations reserved amounts held is hell

Stay was fully paid, yet large duplicate pre-authorizations (around 50% of the total stay) are still being held on my card days ,weeks later.

Multiple calls and emails led nowhere, just repeated “we are escalating” with no resolution. Meanwhile, these unnecessary holds are significantly reducing my available credit.

This is not acceptable handling of customer funds. If not resolved promptly, I will escalate further via my card issuer, Marriott corporate and local authorities.

Miami Beach quick trip
Pros:

We stayed for a short weekend recently. The food was ok both at Lolos and by the pool. We rented bicycles and enjoyed riding around the beach. The checkin girl was great. Nevertheless, the beach was the best part. Stanley and Tahoon were friendly and helpful, bringing our chairs and umbrella down to beach. They even went back to get us extra towels when needed. I wasn’t thrilled that by 2:30 I had to go order food at stand since no one who took food orders was around.

Great location and staff. Property in need of updates.
Pros:

This was our third stay at the Stanton over the past 10 years, and it continues to be hard to beat for location and overall setting. Being right on the beachfront walkway is a huge plus — it’s an easy, scenic walk into town and along the water. The beach itself is beautiful and never felt overcrowded, with plenty of chairs available, and the beach staff truly stands out as friendly and attentive. The pools are similarly calm and peaceful, which makes for a very relaxing experience.

For families, the small park next door is a great bonus, especially for younger children, and there’s enough to keep kids entertained regardless of the weather. We also consistently enjoy the on-site dining. Lolo’s breakfast is excellent, and both the lunch and beach menus offer very delicious options. The lobby restaurant is also outstanding.

That said, the main area where the hotel could greatly improve is in room/property condition and overall upkeep. While we’ve always known the rooms to be simple and not “resort‑like,” they are now showing significant wear and would truly benefit from an update. Some of the common-area bathrooms, particularly in the lobby and pool area, are quite dated with warped doors and rotten wood. This hotel is very low on amenities (no shower in the spa!) and is more like a standard lower-level Marriott in quality.

Housekeeping consistency was another challenge during this stay. There were times when hallways weren’t cleaned for days, with sand and small debris lingering. In our room, the shower gel dispenser was just missing from the wall when we checked in, and one day the housekeeping staff never even showed up. We also experienced water leaking from the shower, which caused puddles on the bathroom floor every day. Rugs in the hallways are ripped and torn, and part of our stay one of the elevators was out of order for at least 48 hours.

Overall, the Stanton still offers an unbeatable location, a lovely beach, and wonderful staff. With some focused attention on maintenance, cleanliness, and room updates it could be a much better experience.

Das Hotel ist sehr schön gelegen, direkt am Strand

Cons:

Zimmer war im obersten Stockwerk direkt unter lärmenden Geräten auf dem Dach. Schlafen war beinahe nicht möglich.
Im Zimmer hatte es Schimmel.
Das Frühstück war sehr schlecht (beim Mexikaner). Zugang zur Hotel-Lobby führt über viele Treppen.

Espero um dia esquecer esse trauma!

Gostei da localização.

Cons:

Perderam a minha reserva, me enviaram para outro hotel.
Estava com minha família, um nene de colo e uma menina de 8 anos que estava com infecçao intestinal, vomitando a noite toda e com suspeita de apendicite. Tive que fazer check out no dia seguinte meio dia e ficar na rua com as crincas para o check in no Marriot as 16h. Se negaram a ressarcir a minha diária, nao me reembolsaram e causaram um transtorno impagável a minha família. Irei processar Booking e o Hotel.
