The stay was very disappointing even for the price.
Pros:

The location was central to everything I needed.

Cons:

There was a lingering odor, loose an uneven cabinets, a dirty headboard that could have easily been wiped clean, and the TV only provided basic channels. It’s 2026 and a smart tv with streaming channels seemed like a given.

Great location and comfortable room if you bring ear plugs.
Pros:

Good location for Lahey hospital. Also restaurant, market, bar etc all right outside the rear of car park are easy to walk to.

Cons:

The only real issue is that the room was a noisy room. The aircon / heater was very loud (I needed the heater since I stayed during a snowstorm) and the fridge ice machine makes a lot of noise when it drops ice (which seems to happen every time you fall asleep). I suggest the owners should try sleeping in each room to work out what needs adjusting.

Excellent stay despite unpleasnt movement to another room.

The amenities listed on the hotel site were found to match their descriptions.

Cons:

During my stay, I discovered that the room telephone was not functional and immediately reported the issue to the help desk. We were issued a written notice after one week stating that we needed to relocate to another room as soon as possible due to a malfunctioning telephone system that posed a safety risk to guests. The notice also mentioned that hotel staff would assist with the room transfer.

However, when I approached the staff at the counter for assistance, the request was not entertained. As a result, it took us nearly two hours to move all our belongings, and no trolley or support was provided to facilitate the process. Additionally, we were moved from the first floor to the fourth floor.

What was particularly disappointing was discovering that the room originally allocated to us, which we vacated due to a stated “safety risk was then assigned to another guest.

I respectfully request that this matter be escalated to the hotel’s senior management to advise why we were moved under the premise of a safety risk, yet another guest was placed in the same room.
