Courtyard by Marriott San Diego Carlsbad

I booked this hotel many weeks in advance.I have received many confirmation notices. I also paid an additional amount for insurance in case my trip changed dates. I also paid a $300 deposit. When I arrived around 4 pm (the time listed for check in) they said they were booked solid and my reservation was cancelled. I had to find another place across town at a much higher rate. Not happy. Please confirm all of my refunds.

I usually don't write reviews but I felt this time I need to let others know how great my stay was. The service was so friendly, every time we went in an out we were greeted by everyone, my kid loves waving at people and they were waving at him every time they saw us, put a smile on my kid's face and ours. We felt welcome and appreciated.

Not much to rave about.

Good layout and room

Very nice and excluded couldn’t keep my son out of the pool very close to Lego land and the beach. Miguel’s down the road was some good Mexican food too . We loved it. Heated seating outside the pool area with tvs and fire place.

Such a good experience! Daisy, Delia, Zack and crew were so helpful and thorough while we stayed here with our team. They went above and beyond and made a long weekend away from home feel peaceful and easy for our players and families!

I stayed at this hotel for over 30 days on a business trip, and everyone was very nice. The hotel is clean and quiet, just what I needed after a long day of work—special shout-out to the front desk, Lavenia, who was pleasant and helpful.

My stay was absolutely fantastic! The accommodations were top-notch—spotlessly clean and incredibly comfortable. Plus, the hotel’s location near the main attractions was perfect, just what I was looking for. The highlight was definitely the exceptional customer service from the manager, Liridona (hope I got the spelling right). She was incredible, making me feel truly welcome and going above and beyond to answer all my questions. Her attention to detail made me feel cared for at every step. I can't wait to return and will definitely recommend this hotel to all my friends, especially because of the outstanding service from Liridona!

Staff was amazing. Parking and location. Bistro staff amazing. Need more dinner options. Maybe add some vegan options.

We have been to this courtyard Marriott in Carlsbad several times because it was recently renovated , perfect location and the most important thing to us in a hotel is the comfort ability of the bed. Beds were very comfortable, hotel is very clean and staff very friendly and engaged. This last trip was extra special. . We had to book last minute and I could only get a higher price than we typically pay as the hotel was almost sold out. . Prior to our arrival, I found a cheaper price in one of the travel websites. I called the Marriott main customer service to find out about their “best price guarantee program” and got minimal assistance . The representative told us to fill out a form online. That was the best he could do. Once we arrived at the hotel, Daisy at the front desk , checked us in and we mentioned that we saw a lower price online but couldn’t quite get assistance from the main customer service desk.
Daisy didn’t hesitate to start investigating for us and when she realized she couldn’t help us she included her manager Lavinia who immediately came over and assessed the issue and proceeded to investigate the “best price guarantee” policy. They were both very helpful and took initiative to go the extra mile which in today’s world of customer service is non- existent. Although the hotel was fully booked she was able to provide us with a senior discount which was unavailable at the time I made the reservation. My husband is a gold member and we have rarely received the attention to iur requests that Daisy and Lavinia provided us. After we checked in Lavinia handed us a thank you bag which included a snack and two bottles of water. What a difference a nice gesture can make. I will definitely frequent this hotel as these two staff members made us feel special. Marriott is lucky to have them but I also commend Marriott for having customer service programs that actually benefit the customer and hiring staff who care…

I visited the hotel for work and came down for coffee after hours. The two people standing there were so polite they made me a coffee when the restaurant was closed. it meant a lot to me as I was rushing for an important meeting. I will definitely come back for work or leisure in San Diego.
