Golden Carthage Hotel Tunis

Beautiful room with lovely bathroom, clean and comfortable. All ruined by the worst hotel food I have ever experienced.

Golden Carthage hotel in Tunis offers a delightful experience with exceptional service. The staff are incredibly friendly and always greet guests with a smile, making everyone feel welcome. Additionally, the food served is delicious, adding to the overall wonderful atmosphere of the hotel

All created a remarkable memory during my dining experience, which has been consistent now for the fifth time and many more to come, off course needless to mention Chef Subhash's generosity for always welcoming me with the Indian Hospitality and also customisation options that he extends inorder to feel accepted no matter how far you come from.!

Ristorante: pasta non cucinata correttamente (una non cotta ed una stracotta), non tollerabile in un ristorante che si qualifica come italiano , cameriere molto cortese e professionale

The absolute worst hotel I have ever stayed in. The staff are inconsiderate liars, especially the direction. They stole a lot of money from us and have been so, so rude. We didn’t manage to sleep at all because of them wanting to appeal to the Libyan partygoers (more like a discotheque than a hotel) and it is SO dirty - the poo stained mattresses are just one example. I am appalled at this hotel. Never ever stay there.

Property is a bit far from town and the beach. It would be nice if the hotel provided some means of transportation to even just the beach.

Overall, staff were wonderful. Very friendly.

Dear Management,

Service is a zero out of zero!

After 12 days it comes to my attention that my credit card was stolen from my luggage (from my room)
Had a talk with the management and honestely they did not even understood the situation (they though it was regarding my bill)

What can I say is that my company (yes I am here for work) received an email with the following info:

"Please note: We would like to inform you that our establishment enjoys an excellent reputation in the region, and no such incident has ever occurred before"

With this said it takes a lot of nerve and audacity that someone goes inside your room, open your lugagge, take your wallet and steal a credit card.

If it was my staff and I knew about this I would get everyone a warning.

Definitely I would not recommend this hotel for your vacations!!!

Cannot praise this lovely hotel enough. Staff are very professional and well trained, from reception to waiters and even security. They are always helpful and proactive in ensuring you are well advised. I lost my cardigan and they found it for me. The breakfast is superb, so fresh and varied. The salad bar was my favourite. A mix of local traditional breakfast and continental. The atmosphere was relaxed and friendly. Any one visiting and not notice the superb views and only focus on petty matters, has a serious problem. My well being improved just from the the walks around the hotel overseeing amazing views. Would love to go back there again and again.

Amazing and accommodating staff. Rooms were spacious and clean.Location was good and not too far from main city. I would stay again. Shookran!

Excellent accueil

Although Tunisia has made steps forward in tourism, since my last visit thirty years ago, still needs to learn and improve a lot . Golden Carthage Hotel is a huge hotel, with big rooms and lot of things to do. Our room 562, was spacious, comfortable and clean, but heating was out of work and the room temp wasn’t comfortable. Breakfast was adequate with horrible coffee and the meals not very tasty.
One thing that is strange to Europeans is that smoking is permitted in the bar of the hotel and there is no information about it.
Anyways the overall experience was OK, considering the fact that we were in Africa.
