Oh. My. Golly. This was my first trip to california and I have to say I love southern California now and I cannot wait for my next trip. Everyone is so pleasant and very chill. Even better than people in Oregon. I have to say regarding the HGI it was great, the hotel itself was fine. The breakfast is typical, the afternoon bartender was great, he's sassy and is really good about keeping conversations going. The front desk staff were a delight, my checkin was so smooth with the tall guy named Sheva. On my second night there it was late and the overnight lady was soooo sweet. I think her name was Elisha. She absolutely helped this mama fogged brain, a true life savor. I have 2 under 2, which means I can get overwhelmed so much. My husband had the older but my little 7 month old was having a horrible time because her favorite passy went missing. But Elisha helped me figure out a place on doordash that had the exact type she needed and we waited in the lobby until it arrived, after midnight no less! She even showed me some good youtube videos for babies to help them get in restive states. You can definitely tell she's a mom. She even helped distract my little for me which if anyone that reads this that's an exhausted parent, you know its a live saver. She didn't have to do any of that, but it really meant something that she cared about both of us.
The staff here are truly great and the grounds are so nice. Listening to the sounds of the ocean and feeling the breeze is really something else and is really great considering the affordable price of the room we were in. I'll definitely be coming back next year, they keep the rooms clean and have no problem getting you anything you need if its available. Only downfall is the coffee isn't the best, but certainly not a deal breaker! Keep it up HGI, you got a winning vibe here!

We had a good time. The beach was across the street. We were able to exercise daily. The Inn was made more special by Allison, Angie, and Jay. And our very nice server in the restaurant. Enjoyed our daily breakfast in the restaurant! The pancakes, waffles were well-prepared.
Room service was excellent.
I give Hilton Garden Inn in Carlsbad, a 10!!!

ARE ABSOLUTELY PHENOMENAL, As a proud gold member I was highly interested in an early check in and a potential upgrade… well let’s just say Skylaar fulfilled EVERY PART OF MY INTEREST AND EXPECTATION. Alison was so sweet, and had a very welcoming smile, the front desk overall meet and exceeds Hilton promises.

The hotel is very well managed. I always had coffee in the room and the room was always cleaned even if we left the room late. The assistants at the front desk, especially like Corey and as well as Jay, Skylar, and Shivou, offered amazing help upon our requests.

We had an enjoyable stay overall and would recommend this hotel.

The location was great, the staff was friendly, and whenever we had a question, they were always helpful. We especially appreciated how professionally our feedback was handled after our stay. The hotel showed excellent customer service by finding a fair solution, which we really valued.

During our stay, there were quite a few teenagers staying at the hotel who were making a lot of noise in the hallways, especially in the evenings. Unfortunately, the rooms were quite sound-sensitive, so the noise could easily be heard inside. However, this is not really the hotel's fault, as it was caused by inconsiderate guests rather than the staff or the property itself.

Despite this, we had a great vacation, enjoyed our time at the hotel, and would definitely consider staying here again.

This was our first stay at the Hilton Garden Inn which was absolutely exceptional, and the main reason was Jay, the front manager. From the moment we arrived, Jay went above and beyond to ensure our special occasions were truly unforgettable.

His warm welcome, professionalism, and genuine care immediately made us feel valued. Jay paid attention to every detail and consistently exceeded our expectations with his kindness, thoughtful gestures, and willingness to help both days. It's clear that he is passionate about creating memorable experiences for every guest, which is what he did for my family.

Exceptional hospitality is hard to find, but Jay exemplifies what true customer service should be. His leadership and dedication are reflected throughout the hotel, and he made our celebration even more meaningful with his outstanding service.

Thank you, Jay, for making our stay so special. We left with wonderful memories and can't wait to return. If you're looking for a hotel where guests are treated like family and every effort is made to ensure a fantastic stay, I highly recommend this Hilton Garden Inn. Property is clean and inviting. Hotel staff are above beyond helpful. Restaurant was very convenient for breakfast and our server was wonderful.

This was a great hotel to host our group meeting. The food all around was phenomenal! Johnny at the bar was great and took amazing care of us.
The meeting space was perfect for our group. And it doesn’t hurt you get to see the ocean from the hotel! Highly recommend staying here!

Desk/ check -in was inexperienced. When I booked the reservation I was assured that certain requests would be noted. The agent said that no notes about handicap issues were part of the reservation.

Very nice location and everything met my expectations. The front desk team worked through a pre-arrival stay issue very favorably and I greatly appreciated it!

The stay was absolutely amazing! Everyone was incredibly friendly, and the rooms were impeccably clean and well-organized. The food at their restaurant was delicious, and their bartender, Johnny, was incredibly attentive and thoughtful in crafting our drinks. The view from the room was also breathtaking!
