Pillows were very uncomfortable
Lovely and clean
The canals, the breakfast was nice and hot
No fridge in room
Sandra on reception was fantastic, we arrived late and due to a wedding in the hotel no food was available. Sandra arranged for us to have some food prepared.
Lovely hotel, part of an old canal wharf. It's just a shame that the immediate area around the hotel is very neglected and uninviting
The location and it felt like home
Great location with great amenities. Rooms were clean and perfect for our stay. The kids liked their goodie bags on arrival and received a wrist band to swap for a snack at the bar. The bar and restaurant were lovely, clean and staff attentive. Our evening meal was a little disappointing and we waited over an hour for our meal ( a little diffcult with two hungry tired children to entertain) the meal wasnt that great either but the wait i believe was due to last min staff shortages.
Breakfast however was fabulous, great choice and lovely and fresh!
The wait for our evening meal was disappointing.
Staff were all friendly and welcoming, it was clean, breakfast was good. The kids even received a treat from reception on check in.
Nothing, it was all good.
The hotel and staff went out of their way to accommodate children.
The pool facility was good.
The pillows were not the most comfortable
Location was great, staff were friendly and it was clean, comfortable and really good value for money

Excellent hotel within a short drive of Cheshire Oakes Retail Park and Chester city centre and the wonderful Zoo. The hotel is very clean and tidy and the staff are incredibly friendly and helpful. The room was clean and the bed was comfy so a great night sleep. Had a very nice evening meal in the restaurant looking out to the canal and boat museum. The breakfast was also great with a good choice of hot and cold food and drinks. Definitely recommend to anyone. A big thanks to all the staff.
Not a lot of amenities within walking distance if you have any walking difficulties but easy to get to in a vehicle.
Nothing!!!
The manager had to be one of he rudest people I have ever met at a hotel. I paid for a large room and walked in to have a huge spider in the window. When I called no answer. Then I went downstairs and she acted like I was crazy to ask to change rooms. Then she took about 20 minutes to finally offer us what must be the worst room at the hotel. I told her I would happily pay more to which she ignored it and said there were no options which I know was a lie cause there were two master suites that were labeled “vacant”. The carpet in the room we got was soooo scary. The value for money was terrible and done get me started on the view from the window which was poles from the scaffolding and the parking lot. Don’t go here unless you want to waste your money…terrible…terrible…terrible…
The room and the leisure centre
One woman aycreception was not at all helpful
