As a regular user of Holiday Inns going back nearly 50 years. This hotel is one of the better ones.
Pros:

Plenty of choice for breakfast. Staff all very friendly and full of interesting information. Lots to see and do. The hotel is along side the canal, with lots of boats up and down the locks. The use of a very clean leisure facility was very welcome as the weather was very warm. Plenty of parking.

Pros:

Really nice hotel in a lovely setting on the canal, it felt out of the way but only 5 mins drive from Cheshire oaks. It was clean and the staff very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was excellent

Had to keep changing rooms for extended stay.
Booking online cheaper than hotel could give me face to face. Disappointing online makes the experience faceless. Feel overpriced.
Limited menu 2 out of the 4 nights.

Pros:

Great hotel with very friendly staff. We attended a wedding at the hotel which was fantastic. Throughout the bar, wedding rooms and breakfast areas, used crockery, glasses were removed promptly and tables wiped down which was good to see. Cleanliness overall was to a very high standard. Breakfast, wow, a choice of a cooked or continental breakfast or both fresh, hot and good quality. Would 100% recommend. Thanks

Great hotel in a great location.
Pros:

Good location right on the waterfront. Clean, tidy and well run hotel with great standard of room. Air conditioning was fantastic in the heat wave. Parking right outside.

Would stay again if things were updated, upgraded and replaced.
Pros:

Breakfast good. Annaliese was excellent absolutely outstanding, as I am disabled and struggle with mobility, nothing was too much trouble. Rosalind also very good. Christina helpful on check in as I was totally exhausted. Ashleigh helped to correct billing which had been done twice! Not impressed with that. Nice to sit outside on canalside but needs better seating and cater for larger people

Accessible room wet room had rusty and pretty disgusting handles. Shower needs some kind of a curtain to prevent some of the water going everywhere, shower stool collapsed. All needs replacing and Carpets in bedroom and everywhere dirty and stained, not appealing at all. Accessible rooms easier on ground floor for emergencies. Seating outside mostly broken and tatty. Room not hoovered on the Friday and odd bits of cleaning stuff left behind. Disabled people seem to just be an afterthought. Had chips & beef, chips, and onion rings which were totally inedible and fed to the ducks who weren't impressed either. Still charged for it despite telling staff about it. Needs an upgrade and some tlc

Good Hotel, great location for the Oaks

Everything, great location, large room, clean and well set out. Everything about the room was good, the bed was comfortable, no noise and breakfast was excellent the next morning

Everything was perfect we will definitely be back.
Pros:

Everything….all the staff were amazing especially with our 8 year old thay was with us. Swimming pool was great, room was perfect whay what we needed even better thay we could actually open the window to get some air in. Breakfast was amazing everything we could want and good quality food. We stayed for food in the evening and a great selection. The location is perfect for our trip to Liverpool only half hour drive into the city. Beautiful scenery.

Pros:

The staff were all so very friendly and helpful. Especially Ashleigh on Reception.
