Had an amazing experience but Miles really made it feel like home. Everyone was great from Wendell, Keola, Mark, and everyone else.

Our family has stayed at Hotel La Croix multiple times over the years, and it has become our absolute favorite place to stay in Honolulu. We discovered it while helping our child move in and out of UH Mānoa, and we keep coming back every time.
What sets this hotel apart is that it’s locally owned, and you can genuinely feel that difference. The staff is incredibly friendly and welcoming — the kind of warm aloha spirit that makes you feel at home rather than just like another guest checking in.
The rooms are spotless and well-appointed, and the location is honestly perfect. You’re in Waikīkī, so you’re close to everything — beaches, restaurants, shopping — but tucked just far enough away from the heart of the hustle that you can actually relax. No noise, no chaos, just a comfortable, peaceful stay.
If you’re looking for a clean, affordable, locally owned alternative to the big resort hotels, look no further. Hotel La Croix has earned a loyal customer in our family, and we’d recommend it to anyone visiting O’ahu!

Went to Oʻahu for a week and stayed our first 3 nights at the Hilton Village, then spent our last 3 nights at Hotel La Croix and Hotel La Croix was by far the better experience. From the moment you walk in, you’re welcomed with genuine kindness and warm smiles that instantly make you feel at home.

Ralph was absolutely amazing incredibly helpful, welcoming, and just an all-around great person to talk to. He truly made our stay feel special. John at the bar was awesome as well and made every visit fun and enjoyable. Both of them went above and beyond to create such a great atmosphere.

We had an amazing time here, and the hospitality really stood out. The next time I’m in Waikiki, I will definitely be staying at Hotel La Croix again!

All the staff were amazing, super friendly and helpful (especially Janice). The location was convenient to lots of restaurants and the beach. Although the room was not fancy, it was clean and the service staff did a great job during our week stay.

Hotel má velice příjemný personál, stále pozitivně naladěný.:) Je to klasický typ hotelu, který neurazí a nenadchne. Pokoj byl dostačující, koupelny by chtěly trochu renovovat. Hotel je v rušnější části města, v noci je slyšet hluk, ale na druhou stranu je to super výchozí bod do nákupních zón a na pláž Waikiki. Do hotelu bych se klidně vrátila.:)

THE BEST SPOT IN WAIKIKI! I’ve stayed here several times, and the staff, cleanliness, affordability and location cannot be beat. The manager , Kawika, is the friendliest most professional and nicest hotel manager I’ve ever experienced! He always goes above and beyond to make my stay amazing. I also have to mention the that every staff member has been great as well! Janice, D’andrew Tyler and Cory are great. They are all friendly professionals and very efficient at their jobs. Also the valet staff especially Mikes and Keola( although they’re all great) definitely made my stay and parking easy and accessible. Miles has great recommendations and Jeola made me feel like family from first time we met.
The rooms are all very nice, extremely clean and the housekeeping staff was on their game with any requests. The hotel is walking distance from everything in Waikiki, yet much more calm and relaxed than other Waikiki hotels.
I cannot speak enough praises about Hotel La Croix!

"Had an amazing stay from beginning to end! The hotel was clean, comfortable, and beautifully maintained. The staff was welcoming, helpful, and made us feel right at home. The atmosphere was relaxing, and exceeded expectations. Great location, excellent service, and overall a wonderful experience.
And the best thing is that is close to the beach and strip of Waikiki. Croix don’t have free breakfast but other then than everything was excellent. I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a great hotel experience

I recently spent seven days staying at Hotel La Croix in Waikiki, and overall, I’d give it a solid 4 out of 5 stars.

From the moment I arrived, the staff made a great first impression. The front desk team was warm, friendly, and welcoming, and they helped assist me with my luggage up to my Terrace Suite while also explaining the hotel amenities and breakfast service. The valet staff during most of my stay were also excellent and very professional.

One of the things I appreciated most about Hotel La Croix is its location and atmosphere. It’s slightly off the main tourist path, which made it much quieter and more relaxing than many of the larger beachfront hotels. If you’re looking for a calmer Waikiki experience while still being close to everything, this place really hits a nice balance. The views from the Terrace Suite were also excellent.

The room itself was comfortable overall. The air conditioning worked well, and the amenities were perfectly fine for a week-long stay. I also purchased the all-you-can-eat breakfast option for the week. The breakfast was adequate and convenient. Nothing extraordinary, but certainly not bad either. It did the job well enough before heading out for the day.

There were a couple of minor issues. The bathroom shower design didn’t have much separation between the shower floor and the rest of the bathroom, so water tended to spread across a large portion of the floor after showering. Not a huge issue, but definitely noticeable during the stay.

The only other inconvenience happened on my departure day. I had a very early 7 a.m. flight and left the hotel around 4:30 a.m. At that hour, it took about 15 to 20 minutes for the front desk to locate the valet attendant so I could retrieve my vehicle. To be fair, it was extremely early in the morning, so I can understand the circumstances somewhat, but it’s still worth mentioning for anyone planning an early checkout.

Overall though, Hotel La Croix provided a quiet, comfortable, and enjoyable stay in Waikiki with genuinely kind staff and a relaxed atmosphere away from the heavier tourist crowds. I’d absolutely consider staying there again.
