Maui Seaside Hotel

The fact that there is a restaurant (which is by the way just ok) next to the hotel does not provide any coffee or tea. It could be a plus in the lobby :)

Rooms are so so bad, very run down, desperate need of renovation. Beds are hard as a rock and so cheap. Bedding and pillows are awful. Genuinely one of the worst rooms I’ve ever stayed in. My son also booked a room and his was somehow even worse than ours. We only had 2 nights booked so we could be closer to road to Hana but we almost canceled and ate the cost bc no one wanted to sleep there again. The kids begged us to not have to sleep there again lol

La nonchalance de certaines personnes de l'accueil, nous avons opté pour une chambre vue mer et nous avons eu une chambre vu sur un mur, le non respect du descriptif de la location . réponse de l'accueil , nous avons aucune chambre côté vue mer, alors pourquoi vous mettez ce descriptif, c'est de la publicité mensongère.

Nous avons dû payer 50 USD supplémentaires par nuit pour avoir une chambre digne de ce nom, c'est à dire rénovée.
La 1 ère avait une climatisation hypra bruyante, une moquette d'un autre âge et aucun coin "pique nique".
De plus, la vue donnait directement sur les conteneurs poubelles de l'hôtel !!!
Bref, on a payé en tout 174usd de plus pour 3 nuits, soit un coût total pour la chambre de 910 USD!!!
On a demandé une bouilloire pour chauffer de l'eau et on en a eu une pleine de graisse : quelqu'un avait dû cuisiner dedans!!! Écoeurant !!!
La dernière chose que je n'ai pas apprécié c'est d'avoir à payer un parking alors qu'il y a largement de la place!!!

The only downside for me was the standard room in the older building (which the one we booked) it feels like it hasn’t been maintained as well compared to the newly renovated rooms. The bathroom was spacious and clean, which I appreciated. However, my main concern was the bed. While it was comfortable, I did experience some like bed bug bites, which was worrying. I hope this is something the property can address and improve moving forward.

While the rooms were clean, the furnishings and exteriors are old and quite dated. They need new furniture. We asked for a newer room but were told that such were only available as "upgrades" for an additional fee per night. The price of the room was already quite high, especially given the older and cheaper furnishings.

The location is great, property is well maintained from outside but need complete renovation of their room, i was surprised the room does not even have headboard. The furniture is outdated like 1950s, i would not spend again close to $300 a night. The motel door locks are also outdated. I had to go get the key like 5 times in 2 days.
Housekeeper wont open the door if asked. The gap between bathtub and sink table is full of mold, dirt, hairs and who knows what.
The shower keeps changing temperature from intense hot to cold and back to hot. The toilets are so small which are good for kids not for an adult. The blankets are so bad that even a homeless person on street might have better than here. The quality for money paid is not there. I think its a rip off. Also, do not go for their room pictures, the room just look good in pictures with some editing skills but in reality they look completely different.
I would not stay here again or would recommend it to anyone.
