The Killarney park is excellent.
The staff were more than helpful prior to arrival and all were wonderfully welcoming when we got there.
They all represented the hotel so well and the whole team do this venue a great service.
The hotel was immaculately clean and the attention to detail makes this place special.
The food and drinks selection is extensive and we enjoyed all of our meals there.
Breakfast was fantastic and set us up for the day to walk around the town or head off and enjoy the tourist attractions (of which there are many and the staffs’ knowledge of all of these was impressive).
The pool and spa facilities were great to finish off the day, and for us, made our trip even more enjoyable.
On one of the sunny days we wanted to sit outside and their outside area isn’t as good as the hotel inside. Possibly some more comfortable outside seats/tables would be ideal. Still loved the place.
What a fabulous hotel!! We stayed with rewards from the Leading Hotels of the World. So glad to have come across it through LHW when looking for a stay in Killarney. From the valets to desk check-in to bar staff to room care, everything here is top notch. The rooms are beautiful! We had a third floor overlooking the park. So serene. The rooms are very updated, electronic everything. The bathrooms are huge and perfectly equipped. We even received a personal note and delicious pastry on arrival. A glitch in the circuits for our mini bar was promptly attended to and compensated with a whiskey in the bar while they resolved it. We only wished we had booked for dinner in the hotel, as we didn’t want to leave the premises. What a beautiful property! We’d be back in a minute if we weren’t an ocean away. One tip though: when they ask before arrival for your room preferences, choose carefully. The “soft” beds are really soft! I prefer a firmer bed with a soft topper. My mistake. The pillows were perfect!
Every thing
Nothing
Wonderful location, stellar service, and comfortable luxurious rooms.
Exceptional in every aspect. Now that I’ve had a few days to marinate I can confidently say this has been a top 3 experience for us traveling abroad. The staff, food, drinks, service was nothing short of fantastic. It has set the bar for every other hotel from here on out. Sláinte.
We had a magical stay for five nights at this gorgeous property on the edge of the great national park.Every detail was attended to with warmth and style, and our sincere compliments in particular to Chief Concierge Padraig Casey and his skilled team, who guided us through walks, coastal drives, unique dining spots and finally to Cork !
We will return ...
Our stay at the Killarney Park was an unforgettable one with many precious memories made for a lifetime. From the moment we arrived, we received Céad Míle Fáilte from Declan and Maria and felt right at home. The hotel is wonderful, but the staff felt like family and made the stay so special. The room was perfect and so comfortable. The food was excellent, and the service was 5 star. The leisure centre and spa are top class, as again are the staff. Every need was catered to, and I highly recommend a stay here. We will be back. Thank you all so much.
Beautiful hotel, service was excellent, room was amazing, staff very friendly
La chambre, les équipes juste tres à l'écoute, les attentions, les services, l'espace piscine, le calme
This is a stunning hotel. The public areas look like they are out of the best hunting lodge. The rooms are furnished in extraordinary style from murals on all the walls, to beautiful light fixtures, to beds that are so comfortable. The people who staff the hotel are friendly and helpful. They greet each guest and they offer to help in any way needed. The food at the Garden Room is well prepared and beautifully served. They ever have a piano player who plays some older, familiar tunes without overwhelming the room. There was nothing that was missing from this stay. It is a beautiful hotel with a wonderful staff!
The Killarney Park was, without question, the highlight of our entire trip.
From the moment we arrived, something just felt different. The hotel itself is beautiful, but what makes this place extraordinary is the people. We felt genuinely welcomed in a way that is rare. This hotel is not polished for the sake of appearances, nor is it transactional...just real, warm, and deeply thoughtful. It felt effortless, and more importantly, it felt like home.
Padrig, "PC," was exceptional. He has a way of understanding what you need without you having to explain it. From the start of booking the trip months in advace, PC was available with the most detailed and genuine recommendations that went far beyond our stay at Killarney. Nothing felt scripted or templated. He paid close attention to our family, especially traveling with two young boys, and guided us in a way that made everything feel simple and natural. There was never a sense of over-planning or stress. Everything just worked, and it allowed us to actually enjoy our time together.
Suzi was equally wonderful. Every interaction with her felt genuine and intentional. She is the kind of person who makes you feel like your experience truly matters. Adrian, Brian, and the entire team carried that same spirit. What stood out most was the consistency. Every person we encountered was kind, present, and welcoming. And the way they treated our boys meant more to us than anything else.
As someone who travels frequently, what made Killarney Park so special is the balance it strikes. It delivers a truly high-end experience without ever feeling formal or stiff. The hospitality is down to earth, personal, and incredibly comfortable. That combination is rare, and they execute it flawlessly.
We came into this trip fully expecting another well-known castle stay, one that travelers and locals alike consistently describe as magical, to be the highlight. Even members of the Killarney Park team spoke highly of it.
But coming directly from Killarney Park, our perspective had shifted. The standard of hospitality we had just experienced was so high, so intuitive and genuinely human, that it changed what we now look for entirely.
I will not call anything out directly, but I will say this. Within a very short time of arriving, all four of us looked at each other and said we missed Killarney Park. Our kids asked if we could go back.
That moment said more than anything else could.
If you are deciding where to stay, this is it. What makes it special goes far beyond how it looks. It is how it feels when you are there, and how it stays with you after you leave.
We will absolutely be back.
Worth every penny. Everything about it was beautiful. The staff was top notch, kind, attentive to every detail. Our room was spotless. The bath was gorgeous. It practically ruined us for other hotels on our multi stop trip as each other one was compared to this one and fell short!
Killarney Park, you have set the bar. Every detail was thoughtfully considered, and every staff interaction felt effortlessly professional and authentically warm. This is what five-star hospitality is supposed to feel like.
The atmosphere wraps around you and makes leaving feel like a small heartbreak. The beds were among the most comfortable we've ever slept in, and the bathrooms were beautifully designed. We didn't want to leave — we half-seriously discussed moving in.
A special mention to Noreen in the restaurant and Veronica at the front desk — both were absolute highlights who embodied everything that makes this hotel exceptional.
It was very nice and had everything you needed. The pool and leisure facilities were great. The rooms very comfortable and all the hotel spaces such as the Library and various lounges were ideal for relaxing and well set out. We ate in the bar which was very good. We were a family of 4 adults and it was perfect for us. The staff were wonderful and so helpful. The nice touch of putting a bookmark in my bedside novel was very much appreciated. The hotel library was excellent.
Nothing!
We had about a 10-day tour around the southern part of Ireland as a small vacation. In the trip, we stayed at the Glenlo Abbey in Galway (2 nights), the Dingle Benners in Dingle (2 nights), The Killarney Park (3 nights), and finished at the Anantara The Marker in Dublin (2 nights). That is to put this review in perspective, because the Killarney Park was a standout here. Some additional context - we took a trip with my wife's parents to France just a few months ago and stayed a couple nights at the Waldorf Astoria in Versailles...the Killarney Park was honestly still at the top of the list! We did book this through the American Express "Fine Hotels and Resorts" program, and were lucky enough to get both the early check-in and a room upgrade - it was amazing! Our room was absolutely fantastic, as was the rest of the property. However, the real standout was the staff - all of them - but I need to call out the concierge staff in particular who were simply outstanding! I would also call out one individual, known as "PC", the head concierge - he is simply a master of his craft, and went out of his way to make sure the activities we had planned for the entire trip were suited to our expectations, including a recommendation for the Gap of Dunloe, which was not even on our radar! (It is not to be missed, either!) The true testament was his assistance on our travel from Killarney to Dublin for the final leg of our trip. The protests had shut down some access to major routes into Dublin, and PC helped us with a detailed plan, avoiding known backups and giving us tips on real-time sites to watch for updates. He actually called us a couple hours into our trip, after we had checked out and left, to make sure we were ok, and recommended a small change to our route because he had been monitoring the situation and noticed an update that impacted our original route! That is service just above and beyond expectation, and I think we can honestly say that was the overall memory we were left with from the Killarney Park!
Alles was perfect!! Ze krijgen 6 sterren.
Echt een familiebedrijf. Absolute klasse.
Aandacht en perfectie in topvorm.
Helemaal niets op te merken.
The service is unmatched. Personal experience for each.
