The incredible pillow options made everything worthwhile. I had the most comfortable sleep for the entirety of my NZ trip. Besting other hotels we stayed at in Auckland, Wellington and Christchurch.
Yellow bus (for free!) was a great perk for traveling to/from the airport.
The isolation. The hotel is awesome but it’s pretty isolated and far from restaurants shops and all that. You really have to drive or walk several kilometers to get to the airport mall and everything else.
Excellent price, location and convenience. Beautiful rooms, very tidy and wonderful staff.

Location to airport especially when arriving at midnight. Free bus shuttle service right to hotel door. Seamless checkin, very quiet & dark room, fluffy towels, comfortable bed.
It was so easy to leave my car with the hotel for a few days until my return, as there was a very timely shuttle service to/from the airport.

Overall stay was good.
The lack of staff during the night shift and inadequate planning for the maintenance work caused a very unpleasant check-in experience. Due to the ongoing maintenance at the main reception, we were left waiting for approximately an hour to check in, having to wait and walk outside in the cold midnight weather with our 10-month-old baby.
This happened after a tiring 14-hour flight, making the situation even more exhausting and stressful for our family. The maintenance work should have been properly planned in advance, with alternative arrangements in place to ensure guests could check in smoothly and comfortably, especially during late-night hours.
I would like to acknowledge that one of the staff member on duty did their best to assist us and was as helpful as possible. However, the situation clearly highlighted the lack of adequate night-shift staffing and proper contingency planning. This experience was disappointing and fell well below the level of service we expected from the hotel.
