They down graded the room at check in!
Pros:

Nice location - have booked another hotel nearby for our return stay. Lovely cleaning staff.

Cons:

We checked in at 2pm, room not ready, no worries we'll wait. At 3pm, still nothing. Eventually told they don't have our corner room n offered something similar. Turned out to be a downgrade. At we found out in the morning, it was on a floor with construction. Showed us other rooms n made out we were being fussy asking for the room we booked. Only room away from construction was another downgrade. Was meant to be staying there again after our peru tour but have cancelled. Saw quite a lot of arguments at check in during our stay.

Good stay at the JW Lima
Pros:

Stayed 3 nights at the JW Lima.
A smooth and friendly check-in.
Lounge was very nice
Staff were all friendly, nice breakfast and bar.
Room as very comfortable with great views (when the fog cleared) of the Pacific.
Location was great. Walking paths along the ocean. Lorcomar (shops and restaurants across the street).
Comfortable walk to Barranco and Huaca Pucllana.
Good selection of restaurants in the area.
Overall a wonderful stay.

Beautiful hotel in a fabulous location
Pros:

JW Marriott. What an absolutely gorgeous hotel located in a perfect and busy location, great views, close to shopping and a lot of different restaurants. I truly forgot how beautiful this hotel is.

Pros:

Good gym and steam sauna. Clean and spacious room with good views over Larcomar, the Ocean and the Malecon. Quality lounge area, good shower, and friendly staff.

Cons:

Expensive daily rate. Pool area could have better design and would be nice to have a balcony or rooftop deck to further enjoy the nice weather and views.

Great location in the city.
Pros:

Great location. You walk out of your hotel into a great area. Felt very safe. It is an upscale hotel. I think a great spot in the city. Also, a great spot to venture out.

Pros:

O café da manhã é muito bom, farto, bem servido, pessoal atencioso. O lobby é bom, serviço de recepção bom, piscina boa. Elevadores que funcionam bem e rápidos. Toalhas nos banheiros boas, sempre limpas e trocadas diariamente (a pedido). Cama e roupa de cama boas. Serviço de arrumação bom, limpeza boa.

Cons:

Não caia na roubada de escolher quartos com final 03 ou 14. Fuja destes finais! Aqui eles são anunciados como "Quarto superior contemporâneo com cama king-size e vista do mar". São quartos de esquina, uma esquina em que eles no projeto provavelmente não sabiam o que fazer e fizeram... quartos; um corredor sem sentido, um quarto que tem uma coluna no meio e com televisor a 90 graus da cama, não em frente a ela nem em frente a alguma das poltronas, porque entre elas e a TV há... uma enorme coluna redonda! Uma piada estes apartamentos, um acinte. Fuja destes apartamentos, sério, aconselho mesmo! Fora isso, fizeram uma enorme lambança com meu cartão de crédito, que nem vale a pena comentar. Mas fique atento.
