Great downtown location
Pros:

Great rooms and staff. Location is not truly central but still close enough to the tourist destinations. And awesome restaurants nearby. Their breakfast is amazing as well

Staff very helpful!
Pros:

We spent five days at the hotel and found the staff extremely accommodating. Especially Katarina at the front desk. She helped making dinner recommendations, reservations and even followed up to see if we enjoyed our dinners. The rooms are well equipped.

We tried the rooftop bar for dinner. our night of arrival and we’re disappointed in the experience. A very large group had a function and the event / bar was completely understaffed. Hindsight we should have made alternative plans after seeing the event going on.

We did revisit the rooftop again to enjoy the sunset and had wonderful attentive service.

The breakfast Buffett was wonderful with fresh seasonal fruit, omelets and Greek favorites.

Nice efficient stay
Pros:

Excellent quick stay. From the moment we arrived, the outdoor porter (sorry, I don’t have his name, a nice gentleman with salt-pepper hair and always smiling), everything was great.

Angelos the front desk agent was kind and very efficient.

Mary Ann the breakfast hostess was also kind and quickly fetched us coffee because the wait staff was tied up. Breakfast buffet was huge with good options for every diet.

Our suite had a good bed. Need more pillow options. Need foam pillows. I didn’t ask for any since it was a quick stay, but my Bonvoy profile lists my preference.

The bath towels are good but on the less than soft side. The hotel would do well to upgrade the towels and refresh the bath robes for softer cotton.

Overall great stay and will go back during next trip to Athens.

Unmatched Hospitality
Pros:

My stay at the Marriott Athens was outstanding from start to finish. The level of hospitality from every member of the staff truly stood out. The doormen and valet team were always welcoming, professional, and quick to assist with anything needed. The front desk staff made check-in smooth and were extremely friendly and accommodating throughout the stay. Housekeeping did an excellent job every day, keeping the rooms spotless and comfortable.

What impressed me most was the management team. They went above and beyond to fulfill last-minute requests and made every effort to ensure our stay was stress free and enjoyable. Their professionalism and willingness to help made a lasting impression.

Overall, this was one of the best hospitality experiences I have had, and I would highly recommend the Marriott Athens to anyone visiting the area.

Excellent Stay
Pros:

Hostess (Mary Ellen) had amazing and positive energy each day. The breakfast cook made great Omelettes for me to start my day.. Staff was very accommodating and helpful. Cleaning staff was attentive to room needs.
