Pros:

The meals were very good and reasonably priced. All of the staff were friendly and very helpful. The hotel provides a regular shuttle bus to and from the centre of the city.

Cons:

The rain shower in the bath room was broken and unusable. It neededto be replaced

Great stay and upgraded!
Pros:

Because we have visited so many times the Marriott Hotel I was upgraded. This was very nice. As I was travelling alone for work, my wife was "unhappy" that when all the times she came with me we were not upgraded. Hopefully next time again! The Asian restaurant upstairs is very good and could have a bigger menu.

Cons:

As always the pillows are too soft. We have mentioned this every time. You get two pillows but they are too soft. The bed itself is very good.

Pros:

The location is very convenient to cover the whole city, you are basically staying at a mid point from piraeaus port, glyfada area and downtown city center…so everything is 10-15 mins away by car. In general it was clean and good value for money.

Cons:

*pillows are so soo low , my husband and I got stiff necks from day 1
* the hotel needs to diversify the clientele they are promoting to through agencies, the hotel capacity was 95 % elderly over 60 and 70. We were the only family with kids for our whole stay of 6 days. And the staff at the buffet made us aware of complaints from our kids being loud…which is basically kids being kids on vacation! I suggest they diversify their marketing or make it adults only policy or in this case seniors only. It really felt like an elderly home and our kids are not welcome.

Disappointed
Pros:

We stayed at Marriott Athens during Christmas week. As a Lifetime Platinum member, I was disappointed not to receive any upgrade. Unfortunately, we were given a very small room, to the point where it was not even possible to properly open our suitcases, which significantly impacted our comfort.
The Executive Lounge itself is good, offering decent options, but it was very busy on many occasions, making it difficult to fully enjoy the experience.
The location is another drawback, as it is quite far from the city centre, meaning a taxi is required to get around.
Breakfast was not good at all. Although options were available, the overall quality and organisation were lacking, and it definitely needs more attention and improvement to meet the standards expected from a Marriott property.
Overall, while there are some positive aspects, the experience did not meet expectations, particularly in terms of room size, elite recognition, and breakfast quality.

Best thing about this hotel is the people who work there
Pros:

Mary Ann in the bar and restaurant was the highlight of my stay in the ATHENS MARRIOTT Bonvoy hotel. She was so welcoming, informative and friendly. We got to celebrate a little of the Greek Easter with Mary Ann giving us background on the traditions and even recommendations for what to do that day when almost everything is closed. I could see here moving up further in management of the hotel, she gets it. Also two women who worked in the Executive Lounge and restaurant, one was Errika and the other was a tall blonde who served us dinner and talked about the local traditions. The lady who helped keep our room clean was wonderful, and the hosts at the restaurant. Best, Goldie

Comfortable and efficient hotel in Athens
Pros:

Good well run hotel close to the conference centre. The staff were helpful. My room was a good size and very comfortable. I didn’t use the gym.

Cons:

It is quite a long way from the metro and too far to walk down to the old part of the city. There doesn’t seem to be a lot of restaurants in the area - I expected a pleasant sea front close to the hotel.

A great stay and great food in restaurant top floor
Pros:

I was upgrated to an junior suite and that was nice. As a regular guest this was mich appriciated. I ate two evenings in the restaurant topfloor and it was great food!

Cons:

The pillows are terrible.too soft
