Its a beautiful building and you feel important when you arrive. Room was spacious and the bedding clean and fresh. Huge bed!
Feels dated and tired in places, the staircase actually felt unstable in parts. I know its closing which is very sad but it does need an injection of money now
We loved the welcome, the attention to detail and the personal touch. We only stayed for one night but immediately regretted not booking for longer. We will be back before it closes in September even if we don’t get an upgrade to a suite - that was a really lovely surprise!
Great location. Given the hotel is closing in September we were wondering whether the service levels would not be great however staff were extremely friendly and helpful Stayed in an executive room which was a nice size with a super king bed and the air conditioning worked well ( we happened to stay in the midst of a mini heatwave )
Rooms are now a little tired. The bed wasn’t very comfortable for me although my husband was ok with it.. Apart from breakfast we didn’t eat at the hotel so can’t comment on the food although the continental breakfast included in the price was disappointing and didn’t have many options.
