Hotel Okura Amsterdam

A fantastic oasis for a getaway. We had a wonderful time with a great room, friendly staff and excellent facilities. Worth mentioning the amazing Kim at the front office who offered us a lounge access while waiting for our room to be ready - Service straight from the heart!

This hotel made my travel. If we didn't have this hotel we would have not that good trave experience in December 2025. I booked this hotel because I wanted to enjoy the Japanese food during my trip. It was started by warm welcome by taking care of my suitcases by front door hotel employees. That was a nice and gentle starting of this hotel. I wanted to have the hot soup before head out for daily trips. The breakfast in La Camelia (not sure if correct spelling) was excellent. I had a breakfast here 3 times while my 5 days staying. The menu wasn't changed daily but still it was so good. The hot miso soup with noodle soothed my family before confronted the cold weather in Amsterdam. I was colder than expected since we were from California. The room was spacious. The hotel receptionist gave us the nice room with a amazing view. Just seating in a bed and enjoying the view was a great pleasure. I am Asian. I love to start a day with a hot water. Most of hotels doesn't provide it. Hotel Okura provides 3 big bottles of water every day for free and there is a Nespresso machine in a room which makes possible enjoy every hot water for me. There is an umbrella ready too. The bed sheet quality was great, and the bathroom amenities were great, nice and neat marble floor and Occidental products of soap, shampoos and conditioner. The shower booth was clean and nice too. The temperature was working so well, and we could enjoy a warm room temperature during the cold winter weather in Amsterdam. The distance from most city's attractions is near. All employees are so kind and nice. They always smile and tried to help for what I needed. The room cleaning ladies did a good job too. The most amazing thing of this hotel is definitely a food. All restaurants' food were amazing. You need to book in advance. I think wherever I travel in future, I will check if the city has the hotel Okura now. Thank you for your greatness.

We had a wonderful experience staying at this hotel for my birthday from start till finish. We were greeted at the door by Amit who was very friendly and helpful he also helped to bring our luggage to our room.
At front desk We were checked in by Aicha. She was so lovely and made us feel very welcome. You definitely get a homely feeling at this hotel.
We stayed on the 22nd floor and the view was spectacular there were even binoculars. Our room was very nice and the beds were very comfortable. There was a pillow menu too which was a nice touch. They definitely pay attention to detail in this hotel. Kie from front desk made me a beautiful handwritten card wishing me a happy birthday with some tasty chocolates. You get use of the lounge too in some room categories which was a really nice extra again with beautiful views. Definitely recommend this option. Nice snacks and drinks. Again very friendly helpful staff.
We didn't get to use the pool etc but did take a look. Will definitely use next time.

We were feeling so comfortable at the hotel we decided to cancel our reservation at a restaurant outside and dine in the hotel at the Serre restaurant.
On our way we were greeted by Mazen the door man who was very friendly. We chose the set meal option. Which was a vegetarian option or meat option. It tasted very good and we were happy we had decided to eat there.

We woke up to a beautiful sunrise. Breakfast was very nice. A great selection of options . I really enjoyed the Japanese breakfast too. Service was again perfect and I really enjoyed talking with Nico, a really nice guy.
Aicha and Mile checked us out . We had a nice conversation with them before leaving. We didn’t want to leave but we will definitely stay again and would highly recommended this hotel.
Service is excellent they definitely know how to make their guests feel at home.

Best hotel in Amsterdam by far staff were amazing. We were checked in by Aisha who was cheerful, friendly, polite and extremely professional. Nothing was too much trouble. Our room was clean and had everything you need. Incredible view across Amsterdam. Food was amazing. Dining was first class experience. There's nothing I can say bad about this place. I will definitely be staying here again and would recommend five star plus. Staying here was amazing.

I already stayed at the Okura Hotel (a Leading Hotel of the World) 4 times in the past 6 months.

It is definitely a nice and comfortable hotel with a great wellness center (gym, swimming pool, sauna). Restaurants are very good but overpriced.

Issue is mainly at the front desk, especially on how Leaders Club members are treated. In every single reservation so far, I had a problem: mistake in the room category, no upgrade in most cases (even though in one of the instances it was guaranteed and paid for through my membership), and when they upgrade they just put you in the same room category but in a higher floor, no late check-out (today’s reservation) while all these are among the Benefits of Leaders Club members. Service is ok but not at the standard of this type of hotel (for example, cleaning crew forgetting the night service, restaurant team forgetting that breakfast was included in the rate, etc).

Fortunately, the hotel over all quality somewhat compensates for the issues with the treatment of Club members. But if you are a Leaders Club Member, don’t expect the level of attention that you often get in other affiliated hotels. The Okura applies the benefits its own way…. Such a pity!

A beautiful hotel with a great location! The service was excellent! We were able to walk to many places and it’s also close to a tram stop for destinations farther away! We will definitely recommend to our friends and family!

An overnight stay was a surprise birthday gift to my daughter. The hospitality was superb! Every one was so friendly and willing to help. I want to give a special thank you to Klaudia (concierge). She was very accommodating. This was my second visit to the Okura. I shall return very soon.

Amazing experience from start to end. Came to celebrate my anniversary with my partner and the room service staff prepared a sweet surprise. Thank you to Rafa and his team for the extra effort in making the night special.
Front desk staff Mile and Aicha were gracious and welcoming.
Had a memorable dinner at Yamazato (thank you Nicholas for the recommendations), and a delicious breakfast at Le Camelia. Thank you to Film, Julia, and Vanessa for accommodating my dietary concerns and the service. It really capped off this great experience. 10/10 would recommend!

Stayed at this hotel for a business trip. Location was within walking distance to the RAI. It was also close to transportation & restaurants. The staff was great & friendly, room was spacious & clean

We are a big Fan of Okura Hotel in Amsterdam. We have stayed several times over the years and we feel at home. The service and the amenities are right on every time, very consistent. Visit Nigel at the concierge desk, he will make sure your stay goes smoothly. Also, do not miss the breakfast, it is one of the best buffet ever. It’s simple but there is everything you need made to perfection. Also, the pillow menus is a must. My wife suffers from neck problems and they have the orthopedic pillow that suits her condition. Many thanks to Okura! We will be back.

I had an amazing stay here. The staff were incredibly nice and always available. The room was gorgeous! The view alone was worth it, and all the little details (like the binoculars to check out the view and all the complimentary amenities) made it feel extra special. Breakfast was another highlight: great service and delicious food.

The hotel’s public spaces, from the lobby to the outdoor areas, were spotless and beautifully designed. And the pool, gym, and sauna facilities were genuinely impressive.

Overall, a fantastic experience from start to finish. Thank you to everyone involved!

We were welcomed by the hotel porters, who helped us with parking our car and handling our luggage. After that, we were greeted with a smile by the reception team, who checked us in and guided us to our room.
Overall, our stay here was very good, and the staff were helpful and very friendly.
Regarding the location, the hotel is very close to several museums and to De Pijp, which has many great spots to enjoy food or a nice drink with the family.
I would highly recommend this hotel!

I can’t praise this hotel enough. It was so nice and while it offers a 5 star experience, it’s not at all an uptight or snooty environment. The staff are so friendly and helpful. Everyone from the ladies who offer turndown service to the people at reception and restaurant staff are just so nice and friendly and professional. Ezra at the front desk was lovely and helpful and gave us tips on where to visit. I came for a long weekend for my birthday and on returning to my room on the day of my birthday, the team had left me a wonderful birthday treat. We took some time selecting our hotel when booking online but my next visit to Amsterdam, I won’t consider staying anywhere else not now that we know Okura exists. The hotel was clean and smart and whenever our room had been freshened up. There were little touches that reflected care and made me feel looked after. Great stuff. Truly.

I think the only negative is that for us, being on a weekend break, the convenience foods like sandwiches etc. that we were in the mood for didn’t seem to be available in a restaurant outside of the room service menu. - I could be wrong. All in all though go to the Okura, you won’t regret it.

My wife and I stayed 2 nights to start our River Cruise. We found our hotel stay to be exceptionally good. The accommodations were very comfortable and the service friendly and caring. The buffet breakfast was awesome. This has been a great start to our trip.

Outstanding hotel. The staff are extremely friendly, professional and welcoming. We stayed in a superior junior suite and it was a fantastic room, loads of space, lots of light from the 2 large windows and wonderful views of the city, and they gave my 7 year old a sweet welcome gift. Plus the little details like putting origami bookmarks on our books so they were there for us to find when we came back from a day out were so lovely. The breakfast buffet is excellent, lots of options and eggs cooked to order, including pancakes which made my son happy! We really liked the area the hotel is in and it was a very easy walk to get to the museum quarter and the centre to explore all the lovely canal streets. If we return to Amsterdam I would only stay at this hotel.
