Culloden hotel
Pros:

The staff at the hotel were all outstanding. Really helpful and professional. The public rooms are lovely and we enjoyed the pianist. Our meals at the Culpra were very good.
However, the food at the breakfast buffet was poor. The eggs were dry, the bacon rubbery, and generally not good. Ordering a la carte eggs was much better, but for the price breakfast was disappointing though the service was excellent and the room beautiful.
We had garden rooms but felt they lacked the extra touches of luxury such a hotel should have, such as fresh milk rather than the plastic pots, decent biscuits rather than the cheapest little offering, lots of small touches missing. The beds were extremely comfortable and the view from the window lovely.
We were disappointed that the spa pool was so small, but it would have been better if there had been more loungers. It’s not right ton have a sauna, and the actual, sauna was lovely, but then there was nowhere to lie and relax afterwards.

Very convenient for the Stena Line ferry
Pros:

We choose this hotel for its location near the Stena Line ferry and for its private parking as we had an early crossing. The hotel is really beautiful, we had no time for the breakfast but our room was very comfortable and we had a very good night. Very friendly staff, we will be back.

Cons:

Nothing really.

A Return Visit to The Culloden - Relaxing and Enjoyable Stay
Pros:

We had a recent stay at The Culloden and was very pleased to experience a noticeable improvement throughout the hotel following our last experience. The atmosphere felt calm from the moment we arrived at the check in desk, along with attentive service and a strong sense of care across all areas.

Even though we were early with our arrival ahead of check in the rooms were ready not long after we checked in. We enjoyed lunch and drinks in the bar, an ideal way to begin the visit. Service was efficient and the views overlooking the gardens added to the experience while we had some drinks at the bar.

We had dinner at Vespers in the evening and was most enjoyable. Each dish recieved were very well presented and good portions. The service throughout the dinner was smooth and attentive. They also have an extensive wine list along with nice menu options.

We didn’t make use of the spa facilities on this visit, although we did visit the spa, that had a wide selection of ESPA products available.

One of the highlights was the Bollinger Garden. With good weather on our side, it was the wondetful to enjoy a drink outside along with taking in the views of the hote grounds. We only had drinks here but the dishes served to other guests looked very nice and well presented.

We had a Garden View room and this was comfortable and well appointed, offering great views of the grounds. The bed was very comfotable providing a restful night’s sleep, and the ESPA bathroom products were a nice touch.

Breakfast the following morning had a wide selection of hot breakfast items along with pastries and fruit. The servers were very attentive.

Even though we had a short stay, it was a such a relaxing experience and really enjoyed every minute. We will definitely return for a longer visit in the near future.

A gifted stay at the Culloden.
Pros:

We were gifted our overnight bed breakfast and evening meal. The hotel is situated overlooking Belfast Lough which we could view from the Ava Suite. The room was clean and with a huge bed. There is no fridge in the room. We both felt far too warm and was unable to adjust air conditioning. The evening meal at the Cultra was lovely we would recommend the setting evening if passing by, you don't need to stay to avail of the pub restaurant setting.
I would recommend but I dont think I would pay the price myself but so thankful of the gift by B-POSITIVE charity.

Order forgotten about.
Pros:

Called in today for a light lunch in the bar.first thing you see is reserved seating beside the windows in the bar as most hotels etiquette would be first come first served.
2ndly half our order was forgotten about i had to chase it up but by the time it arrived our other food had went cold then i noticed our table was set with the wrong cutlery.
No apology no follow up to ask was everything fine with our meal.
The ambience was perfect just the staff were under trained for a 5 star establishment.
