Bugs in bed, no refund, black mold in a nasty shower.
Pros:

Location to huntsman cancer institute.

Cons:

We have family @ Huntsman cancer institute & wanted a close, responsibly priced motel. We checked in around1:30 pm. Left for the hospital arrived back at the motel around 8:pm. Showered in a nasty shower with a lot of black mold and pulled the sheets back for bed time. The sheets looked shuffled as if they weren’t changed. There were lil black spots in the sheets, brushed a few off, decided to take a closer look, the black spots were bugs. Let the front desk know we were leaving and ask for a refund, they declined a refund. I’m sure there’s a bed bug policy & we should’ve been refunded. Never again will I stay there. Nasty gross!

Pros:

We were very pleased with the cleanliness of the room. The staff consistently replaced the towels and removed the trash, which helped keep everything fresh and comfortable. We also enjoyed the breakfast and appreciated the variety and quality offered. In addition, the hotel has a great location, making it convenient to access nearby attractions, restaurants, and other amenities. Everything in the room worked well, including the air conditioning, TV, microwave, and mini fridge. These are essential amenities for a comfortable hotel stay, and it was great to have them all functioning properly. Overall, we had a very positive experience.

Cons:

The sink area had a very large countertop, which I loved because it provided plenty of space for our personal items. However, one thing I did not like was that the soap dispenser was located too far from the sink, making it inconvenient to wash our hands. Additionally, the faucet was quite small, so we had to lean down more than expected to get enough water. While this was not a major issue, improving the sink setup would make the bathroom more comfortable and user-friendly.

Can't beat the price for downtown SLC
Pros:

Really good price for SLC, so close to downtown amenities, U of U hospitals, attractions etc. Well kept grounds, safe, gated.

Cons:

It's close to transitional housing and services, so while the area may be within a half mile of the better parts of SLC downtown & amenities, a couple of blocks next to the hotel have groups of unhoused people congregating, sleeping and sitting on the street.

Looks like “slum lord” accommodations!
Pros:

Short distance to different places downtown.

Cons:

Electrical lightings inadequate & lamp shades are stained with holes/scratches on them; light fixtures, switches are haphazardly put together especially the air conditioning and heating unit, looks like a fire hazard and accident waiting to happen! I was on the ground floor and the windows have flimsy plastic locks on them. However, the front desk person assured me that the outside fences are pretty high, “no need to worry.” The curtains are stained with holes in them and the blackout curtain, 1 left panel only, was stuck and broken. The water is lukewarm only. The front desk area has a worn out 2 seater couch and a few high chairs around. The concierge personnel (both day & night shifts) have limited communication skills or maybe language barriers?
