The owners were nice. It was a smooth check in. I ran out of towels, when I noticed staff they got it immediately.

Cons:

I was pretty disappointed with my stay at Quality Inn & Suites North Mesquite I-30. The photos online made the rooms look much nicer than what I actually arrived to.

One of the first things I noticed was the lighting in the room. The light bulbs were all different types. Some were bright white, others were yellow, and a few of them didn’t even work at all. It made the room feel poorly maintained. The TV was also mounted on a noticeable slant and I couldn’t get it straight.

Several of the power outlets in the room didn’t work, which made charging devices frustrating. There was also a large gap under the door and a lot of hallway noise came straight into the room. I actually had to roll up a towel and place it against the bottom of the door just to reduce the noise.

The bathroom didn’t appear very clean and the water pressure in the shower was extremely weak. The sofa in the room had visible stains on it which didn’t make it very inviting to sit on. Not to mention the wall had a patch that had been repaired and not painted.

Another issue was a strange chemical smell throughout the room that never really went away during my stay.

Overall, for the price I paid I expected much better. I honestly could have booked a nicer hotel in downtown Dallas for a similar price. I hope management addresses some of these maintenance and cleanliness issues because the property has potential, but my experience was disappointing.

Great Place Great Price
Pros:

Clean, friendly staff, breakfast was great. Super convenient to areas my family and I were there to visit. Loved that the whole facility is smoke free

Room was a bit cold upon entry, but once the air was running to temperature it was just fine
